Narrowed down the lift choice to the Forward I10 and the Challenger VLE10. Will be lifting lowered sports cars to 1/2 ton double cab pickups. I pretty sure nobody has used both to compare them but give me your likes and dislikes of each. Installed price is within $200 so that's not a factor.

My I10 has had from a 4k lb car to an 8k lb truck with no problems.

The rocker cladding on the GTO requires jacking up the car to get the arms underneath.

The arms won't reach anything suspension related on the truck so it has to be picked up under the cab mounts.

I have the VLE10 and ordered the height adapter kit and round rubber foot pads. I have had lifted 1/2ton 4WD trucks, minivans, lowered sport compacts and German sports cars without needing any special tricks.

comparing the specs the only consequential difference I notice is the I10 lists a longer max arm reach and slightly lower overall height. neither have been a problem with the VLE10, but if you need a tie breaker...

which ever one you go with, make sure the arm pivot pins are greased. that got missed at install on mine and it was a night and day difference after I corrected it.

I've had the Forward I10 for 5 years with no issues. Everything from my riding mower to my 3/4 diesel truck. I've never had a lowered car on it, but it has plenty of clearance for my stock height 2016 Mustang.

Is there a company local to you that installs/services either of these lifts? If so, go with that one. I think I paid $500 for installation; it was worth every penny. Two guys in a truck with a small boom knocked it out in 4 hours.

I looked at the same two lifts and ended up with the I10. I have used it on both a lowered 2001 Mustang to 1 ton long box crew cab F350. No complaints.

Two local companies both with good recommendations from local dealerships. Install is $1100 from either one, the I10 ends up being $700 cheaper with the rebate from Rotary.
