I was wondering if anyone can recommend a 2 post lift installer in CT. I have been looking at bendpak, rotory, and eagle. I would like to get prices installed and compare to the uninstalled price. Worried about unloading the lift and standing up the columns if I install myself.
Thanks
Joe

If you have access to a landscaper's trailer and an engine hoist, you can do it yourself or with the help of a friend. Get the lift delivered to a nearby freight terminal. They can load it onto your trailer. When you get it to your garage, uncrate it on the trailer and lift out the posts with the engine hoist. Use the hoist to stand the posts up into position.

85Ram Unloading and standing them up is really not difficult. I had mine delivered with a flat bed tow truck. They just extended the bed and when the base contacted the floor I used a floor jack to lift the other end and lower onto blocks. myself and a friend stood the posts up just by lifting them. I think I could have actually done it myself, all the weight is on on the lower end and the center of gravity is very low.

Good point! Many tow companies often do this. When I was contemplating my options, I had received a quote of $150 from a local tow company.

Thanks for all the info. I do have an engine hoist and car trailer so I should be all set in that respect. Now if only all this snow melts so I can get the trailer out!
Thanks again

Greg Smith Equipment has a showroom in Hudson, NH, with most of their lifts set-up and working for display. They sell Atlas lifts. Their website is very informative and should list what's in stock for pick-up. They'll load it right onto your trailer.

I was just looking at the Greg smith site. Price is definitely right. I'll have to do some research.
