Finally going to pull the trigger on a lift.

90% sure im going with a 9K lift from Best Buy Auto at $2k delivered.

https://www.bestbuyautoequipment.co...symmetric-9k-2-post-car-lift-p/al2-9k-acx.htm

single piece posts. decent warranty. All else is status quo as far as i can tell.

Don't really feel the need to go with an ALI lift for another $1k.

Yeaa blah blah my life is worth more than $1k i've heard it all.

My cars are light, my friends cars are light, I'm not stupid, so on...

ALL that being said... is there another lift out there for comparable cost?

And any other advice?

Sure, there are lots on Ebay for that $.........but.............I would only buy a local name brand lift with a good warranty, I would have them deliver and install it and gladly pay $3500-$4000 for that peace of mind.........but that's just me I guess.

Yea really gonna stay away from anything on Ebay. Warranties, Customer Service, Parts; all wildcards.

Haha I live about 10 miles from Mohawk lifts but those are $$$$$

peace of mind for me is putting it in myself haha.

I am not trying to start a debate with anyone here, rather just share my personal experience. This lift is made by Tiant in China. It is available under different private brand names.

I had a local installer, who has installed many of these in commercial and home applications over several years, deliver and install mine for $2,200 last year. That was for everything except electrical which I did. Mine is 10,000 lb capacity asymmetrical.

I have used it for multiple cars & trucks including Subaru’s, Lexus, Nissan, as well as my F150, a Tacoma, Titan and a Silverado long bed.

I completely agree with everyone here to buy the best, most expensive lift you can afford.

I decided to take this deal. It has performed very well for a year now with reasonably heavy non-commercial use in my recreational more home/hobby type shop. I check all parts frequently. All is as good today as when it was installed.

I see they offer a 110v option.....I'd get the 220v version. Since you're installing it yourself a detailed install and review thread would be cool.

Weaver and Greg Smith stock some parts and sell stuff they stand behind if you don’t want to pay a little more for a big name like Bendpak.

Check Derek Weaver lifts. They usually offer good value

That's what I have, love it. Put a new fuel system in the Falcon and I've had that car up and down over 50 times in a month.

I am planning on purchasing a similar lift, but 10k and ALI(link below). I feel like i need the extra poundage, but one of the main reasons i chose this was the single piece columns. I see the lift you are considering has this also.

Looking forward to the install thread and pics if you get it!

I have this one that I bought from them:

https://www.bestbuyautoequipment.co...1k-bi-symmetric-2-post-lift-p/al2-11kc-dx.htm

It seems very similar. I'm not sure what the difference is between them besides the certification and $400.

I'm very happy with it. I haven't (and don't intend) to lift anything near 11K though.

I have an Atlas lift I purchased from Gregg Smith. It looks just like this lift. I really like mine. I have had my 4 door Silverado on it with no issues. I had a very old Mohawk which I really liked but it had the chains at the floor. They would get in the way at times.

we have atlas at work, from gregg smith. Has adapters for all kinds of things like tractors, etc. I don't know what they paid but they work pretty good. Only problem was that the idiots who designed the shop didn't think about the lifts working off of electricity so they had to run a 220 circuit specifically for the lifts. Wasn't a big deal, just an extra cost. The other issue is how the boss wanted the lifts installed; which I don't agree with but whatever. He is the boss. Just makes the whole shop process a little slower and less efficient but it "looks better".
