Looking for suggestions on the best location to put a 2 post lift so that I can tell the contractor where to reinforce the floor for the post locations.

I put together this plan thinking the left side (top of the pic) makes the most sense to pull cars straight in for the lift with enough room on the sides to work on it. The only issue I can think of is when there isn't a car there, the post might be floating out in free space, and somewhat in the way, but I will likely have a car there most of the time.

Thanks in advance for any constructive thoughts.

Looks pretty good. I have a similar set up but mine is a little deeper. Are you planning symmetric or asymmetric? You may want to consider pushing the lift further towards the back wall or moving it a little closer to the left wall to give you more room for the car in the right bay. My 2-post is about 32” off the left wall and about 8’ from the rear wall (measured from the center of the posts). It sounds close, but I have plenty of space to work. I am sure you don’t want to get that close to the back wall, I wanted to be able to get a car parked behind the lift bay as well.
