Just got my 2 post lift delivered and will be looking to put it up soon. I have a bay in the shop that I’m planning on putting it in, but not sure how much room I should leave at the front. Currently don’t have anything in the area and would like to push it further up in but not be cramped and wish I would have left it further from the wall.

Just wanting to get some input and thoughts on what some of you have done. Thanks.

I find it handy to put a vehicle on the lift if I am going to pull the engine. So 4 feet would work, but that’s the absolute minimum.

I put mine pretty much just a hair "left of center" (23' 4" door to back wall), allowing that most vehicles balance in the area of where the steering wheel aligns with the post.

Put it as close to the door as possible so long as you can move around the vehicle when it is and is not lifted. Extra space between the door and the vehicle is unusable, wasted space.
