I'm looking to buy a 2 post lift, anyone have any pros and cons of the lifts they have or had? Just wanting to stay clear of spending money on a clunker that doesn't last or lift what I need to lift. I will be lifting crown vics mostly but every now and then it will have to lift my crew cab cummins ram :(

Welcome to the forum!

You will find more information about lifts than you'll ever want to read!

If you search this forum for Bend-Pak, Rotary or Mohawk, you'll be well on your way.

Oldcarguy did a comparison of 3 different 2 post lifts on here a while ago which included His Mohawk, Bendpak, & a friends Ben Pierson. Things to consider are what is the heaviest vehicle you will ever lift, how often will you use it, & how much do you intend to spend? If money isn't an issue I would get a Mohawk 10K & call it a day. If money is tight I would go with either Bendpak or Rotary. I would not buy one of the bargain basement priced import lifts, if money was that tight I would keep saving until I could get one of the above. With all the dealerships closing there are a lot of good used lifts going to be for sale which is also an option. Buying a piece of equipment designed to hold a vehicle over my head wasn't something I was willing to scrimp on so I personally bought a Mohawk which will outlast both me & my kids. Whatever you decide on, a lift is a long term investment which will pay for itself many times over with the money it will allow you to save on shop labor so get one which will work for you.
