I tried to search, but found it difficult to find something similar to my situation and the guys will be here in 45 min. My bay isn't very deep so I want to make sure placement is as perfect as possible. My thoughts were to pull my largest vehicle in and mock it up, any other input? The biggest I have is a 2004 f150 ext cab. Any advice is much appreciated.

Data shown below is per Rotary Lift

Wheelbases longer than 127", the tire goes in front of the spotting dish shown below. Pull your truck into the garage and lay out the location.

I don't want to sound like a jerk but why are you still thinking about placement?
Don't cut yourself short on room around the front of the truck. Good luck and enjoy the new addition to your garage. Lifts are a great tool to have.

Put whatever the biggest thing you plan to lift in the shop so it will clear everything when lifted and place the columns appropriately.

I imagine that experienced lift installers have seen your situation before and would have good guidance.

I agree with Z2V on the timing of your question.

Thanks for all the help. I ended up pulling the f-150. I ended up 9ft 1in off the rear wall to the front of the baseplate. Smaller cars shouldn't be an issue and the truck will work with little room to spare. I figure I can also back something in and/or switch the arms if needed to distribute the weight.
