2 Post placement

Hey guy's. I'm almost at the stage of getting a lift.

I'm looking to get a asymmetric lift.

I have a tight 20x20 garage.

Where do the posts go? I would think a symmetric lift would go in the center.

I would think a asymmetric posts would be further forward (if I'm pulling cars in)
around the end of the doors on the largest vehicle.

Am I on the right track?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're on track. Lifts will have placement recommendations in the install manual.
