Paint inside the reflector with matte white paint (heavy duty enamel, engine or wheel paint to handle the heat) and you'll get much better, richer tone and distrubition.
This tip works for pretty much any incandescent bulb lights, worklights, or stop/tail/turn lights etc
That extension and light is great for a soldering iron. I wouldn't use a sawzall to cut exhaust of course... I use it with a warm cfl bulb, less heat. Takes a little while to reach full brightness and less impact resistance but i usually just leave it on during a job anyways. I'm sure they makea impact resistant cfl bulbs...
