Might get a 20 gallon air compressor. It would be a good medium between the 6-10 gallon and 33 gallon I was previously considering. Id like to get the 20 gallon oil less craftsman but it got mixed reviews online. Anybody know more about this model? And what bout husky compressors this size?

I have the Husky air compressor this size, its awesome! I ended up buying it after returning two craftsman 20 gal that were found broken when unboxed.

I got it on sale for $140. Couple things to do out of the box, take off the crappy black plastic drain **** on the bottom of the tank. It gets full of **** like the shot peening material used on the inside of the tank. I used a 1/4 npt ball valve as my drain **** instead.

I have used it on a daily basis in my shop and I have been happy with it. You can also get replacement parts from campbell-hausfeld if need be.

I have a husky pro oiled 30 gallon air compressor that runs off 110V. Bought it on craigslist for 225 or something, great air compressor runs a little slow when the garage is 15 degrees inside. My recommendation is buy an air compressor that is 2+cfm of what you need. That way you will not be starved for air while running curtain tools and it also for more options for air tools. if you going for a 20gal I almost bought this one, did a lot of research on it.

I've had multiple 20gal Craftsman compressors over the years - none of them have done me wrong. My uses are split between mechanical (air impact, air ratchet, cut off wheel) (probably a little under sized) and nail guns (way over sized).

I'm finally in a place where I can get a permanent 60-80 gal compressor installed. When I do that, I plan on trading my 20gal for a pancake unit.

What I'm trying to say: The 20 gal size is just enough for air wrenches and too big for air guns. If you only need it for nailers, consider a smaller unit. They're a PITA to carry up and down stairs!
