If they're still selling it stay away from their 4X material. Garbage. Melts like plastic.

I havent had them melt, but i use them for yard work and have had them for about 4-5 months, still no rips in em. I have the leather CG utility gloves for fab work, i didnt like the actual fabricator gloves. MPact and Mpact 2 for most automotive/track side work aside from the nitrile coated stretchy gloves for oil changes or greasy stuff, and fast fit tactical for shooting. Havent had any major issues with any, even my one pair of Mpacts are over a year old, index fingers and thumbs are worn open but i still use em.

I actually really like the 4x for yard gloves. They're much more abrasion resistant than the leather ones. The weakness on those is the stitching. Every pair I've had has given out on the pointer/middle finger stitching near the tips. Still good gloves if you get them on sale.

Oh, and I do agree they melt. I was wearing a pair when I was sharpening my mower blades, and I guess slid the freshly sharpened part against the palm of my hand, and it melted really quickly and left me with a nice burn.

Avoid using them around hot items, and I think you're fine. If you need heat resistance, use real leather.
