Why pay more at Lowes or HomeDepot for the same Chinese stuff??? It's made by the same manufacturer but its all re-labled. For example, I was looking at a 10 cubic ft cart for my lawnmower at Lowes, Wal-Mart and Tractor supply and they all wanted $99, but the same cart was $69 at Harbor Freight. Whay pay more?

I'm the first person to "dislike" chinese trash, but its all over the place, regardless if its at China-Mart(wal-mart), Lowes, or HD. HF is just one more retail outlet that carries the junk!

i always get my highly expensive and dangerous tools from HF. I just love the price...

Yeah, China is here to stay for a while so get used to it. I do the same thing. HF has it's place, you just have to think about what you are buying. Shop crane? NO. Calipers? YES.

When it comes to HF, if it needs precision, or its load bearing, be careful

My basic rule for HF shopping is if it has moving parts, don't buy it.

Everything else is a gimmee.

I have bought some power tools and air tools from HF and generally have had decent luck with them. I do agree that you have to be carefull and some of it is plain junk, but I have bought some brand name stuff that wasn't much better for a much higher price.
