added insulation
View media item 69260still have a bit left
View media item 69261bought a drill press without any info as to the brand and if it worked
View media item 69263View media item 69264View media item 69265paid 110. the original switch was replaced and the one that was installed is not working. Looks to be the wrong one. worked after I bypassed the switch. There is not much info on the web about the brand except it is imported by a Canadian company and is the in house brand for grainger.
the original face plate was replace with one that could accommodate the toggle switch. I will purchase the correct switch and modify the plate to accommodate the correct switch as well as refurb it. But that will be for another time.
I really wanted the clausing that went for $600.

Why did I let my thread get out of date again?
Here is the start of another workbench. I was going to make it an L shape but i Made my building with two un-square corners.

Great build. I am impressed with the quality of your work as well as your affinity for sniffing out the good deals. I sometimes seem to be a day late and a dollar short on the Craigslist deals but you meet some interesting people. I have also sold a lot of stuff on there. It doesn't hurt to list and relist things (like the drill press you regret).

Have you figured out what you are going to do for ceiling insulation yet? I have a hip roof on my 24 X 24 block garage and do not want to put a ceiling in it either. I talked with my roofer who is not a fan of the spray foam because of heat dissipation and the effect on shingle life. I am starting to think some of the scrim backed fiberglass like that used in commercial metal buildings may be the way to go. I have not priced it and figure it will take some doing to make that work. It would still allow for ventilation and allow the shingles to cool as well as provide a vapor barrier and some support for the fiberglass. It might be something to look for on your local CL.

Thanks I appreciate that. I will most likely keep the floor drill press. I have not done much work to my garage. I have done several oil changes, couple of brake jobs, engine mounts, thermal spacers, and power steering line change.
I wish I had did something with the ceiling and heat situation being that winter is almost here. I think I will use something like this
https://www.homedepot.com/p/ADO-Products-Durovent-23-1-2-in-x-46-in-Rafter-Vent-with-Built-In-Baffle-10-Ctn-UDVB234610/202389935?cm_mmc=Shopping%7cTHD%7cG%7c0%7cG-BASE-PLA-D22-Insulation%7c&gclid=Cj0KCQiA_5_QBRC9ARIsADVww14Ea6oufU9r0RuvnndYj42WcOIkFeAW-TKOLCZNMmc-2nK-EogHZ1gaAsDDEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CJDlhIekutcCFQqtyAodvnkDYw
and drill holes so that air can pass through between the insulation and roof deck.
