The first thing you do is check the basics. Do you have spark and injector pulse? Fuel pressure?

You have a scanner or just a code reader? If you have live data capability, check to see what the actual intake air temp is. This sensor is in your air intake pipe (large rubber hose going to your throttle). Check the connector and see if the wires are damaged. Wiggle it while watching that pid and see if it changes. If the IAT is giving the wrong info, like the car is -40, you certainly would have trouble starting.

Like the other post said, check for fuel and spark. Pull the plugs out and see if they are wet after cranking. Check the fuel pressure. These gauges are inexpensive and many parts stores will loan them out nowadays. You can check injector pulse with noid lights, get these as loaners too.
