Some observations:
-no more craftsman impact swivel sockets listed
-didn't see craftsman professional pliers
-gone are those huge professional series tool boxes replaced by montezuma and wolf units?
-the premium ratchets are listed
-there seems to be fewer Craftsman branded tools but, thats just me
-they still haven't brought back the open stock section to the main catalog
-there is an interesting to me tool cart from extreme tools that has the top copied from montezuma mated to a four draw cart with what appears to be a shelf for a lap top on page 163.

One observation form the latest hard copy I had, they had an S&K impact set, with sockets, steep price, but still didn't see it.

Are Wolf toolboxes just rebranded or are they their own company?

It makes me sick looking through that catalog. There are less and less Craftsman tools in it as the years go by. I like how half the things that are now made in China still say USA in the pictures.

Those premium $1k+ tool storage boxes are the "old" pro's form a few years ago - Waterloo maggies it seems, with a new-style grab handle... at least that is what they look like to me.

Im pretty sure the new rolled front boxes are already sold under the montezuma name...

If you look towards the middle of the magazine where they have they huge tool sets (I think 10 in total, these sets have been around for a while), you will still see the Professional Pliers. It is weird though that they don't list them separately anymore, but they still show them in the mechanics tool sets. Perhaps they were just left out of the magazine (to show more hitachi drills )?

I picked a printed copy up first week in January from my local store.

The lack of open-stock listings for the most used hand tools is a GIANT PITA as it forces you to look over larger set tools and get a reading of the range of available sizes, then make a list and go to the brick and mortar stores to confirm.

Lot more catalog tool box offerings this year as well as a lot or I-R air tools then in past years.

Good base to start with when looking for new tools, especially mid to lower high-end listings. Still need to cross ref. with the truck catalogs and NAPA and then HF to find anything specialty or uncarried brands.

Now where would the fun be in having everything as a listing in one place. LOL

Got my catalog in the mail yesterday. I felt like I was looking at a thicker version of those sorry excuse for craftsman club flyers they have been sending out lately.

Last year I was able to get a separate open stock catalog mailed to me from the sears.com website. It was pretty thin (maybe 15 pages or less) but at least it had prices of most individual items.

My biggest complaint about the catalogs from the past couple years, no open stock listings, and too many filler pages with testimonials from supposed customers. In a catalog I want to look at tools and prices, that is all! Picture, short description with sizes, and price... pretty simple! Amazing how Sears has managed to screw that up.

I think most GJ people are much more informed about tools than the people giving the testimonials. I have noticed more and more european tools listed, Wiha, Wera, Knipex, etc.

The Holiday 2010 catalog (Fall 2010 thru Jan 2011) was 257 pages BTW.

I forgot there was no "open stock" lisitngs in last years catalog as well. Farkers.

I got mine in the mail today. Haven't really looked it over yet. Opened it up to the page where it say "Craftsman No 1 tool in America" and in the same shot is a photo of a Wera bit ratchet.

-The new side box was nice. Too bad I didn't buy that toolbox combo set.
-They have wolf, montezuma, and extreme tool boxes for sale.
-No Craftsman Professional boxes though.
-More gearwrench, hitachi, CP, IR stuff too.
Every Price is followed with "Get the latest price online"

At one point I looked forward to the new catalogs. Now, I breeze through it and just toss it.
