dominus: that's a nice way to fill up a nice cabinet. good scores and just get another cabinet to fill and have some more fun.

craptain: i'm looking forward to seeing you use that aquarium filter in your E tank and is the power source you picked up going to be used for that or something else??

i'm starting to get a full tool box of these old stout Ford wrenches. are they good to own and use or were they made more for square nuts? i do like the weight and the compactness of them, but i'm going to have to buy some colored electrical tape to mark them because my old eyes can't see their markings very well.

The filter needs some work it seems, so that will take a few days at least. The power supplies may get used for the e-tank but I will need to make up some new leads for it. So I am still using the Computer PS for now. See http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3833038&postcount=182

Hit CL today and drove too far for what turned out to be less than stellar vises. However I picked them up anyway at $10 for both. One is a no-name 4" vise that was in poor shape. The other is a Taiwan Wilton 535 3 1/2". The 1st one is already in the e-tank. Neither one will be keepers. I will not even touch the Wilton, just quick wipe off and resell. I will get more than my money back. I also picked up a couple of other items while I was out just to make the trip worthwhile.

Just found this thread.....my purchase from 2 weeks ago.

https://scontent-a-lax.**.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/t1.0-9/1656262_10200491807457023_1977776618_n.jpg

Toro snowblower......listed on CL for $25. I called the guy and he said he had two of them.....and this morning the rubber primer bulb broke so he just wanted rid of it.

Even without priming it started second pull. Bought the new rubber piece for $3.89 and it took me less than 5 mins to change.

Works perfect.....and thankfully I havent had to use it this year.

Needless to say. Major suckage. If I found that deal, I would be walking away on a cloud shaking my head in disbelief. OR wondering if I were dreaming.

Mav: thanks for posting something because 2 pages of YOU ***** needed some good tools to see. did those boxes come packed full of tools and love the old catalog or brochure.

B17: thanks for fessing up again that it was a real $5 deal. the cops will be at your doorstep shortly and now you have the proof to show them that you didn't "steal" that stuff. or did you????

the past owner is still beating his kids for selling that stuff.

How much and was all was inside?

$115.00

I almost wanted to quibble, cause that is my nature, but they were a family member's boxes, they were in good shape, and the dude was nice and I had a good time talking to him. So that was worth a few extra bucks.

so....just the mics, calipers, depth gauge, and height gauge all work out to about 45 cents each and the box and stuff in it was free?:shocking:

winner of the year....for now;)

Mav: those boxes would have been a good deal for that price in my neck of the woods and even though i own a bunch of boxes now i would have paid that much for those because they look great.

anything inside is a bonus and sounds like you might have a few treasures in there too.

great deal and should clean up nicely

Mavawreck, I see a caulking iron alongside the sockets in the box. Are there any more shipwrights tools in there.
I have a rolling box and top box of the same vintage.
