There was a auto swap meet this w/ in Perry ga. There were several tool sellers there , but didn't find any thing I wanted or needed.
Looking for a 1 1/2 socket, does not have to be a quality item, one time use.
Some good buys that members picked up.

Well Garage sale season really hasn't gotten underway here, weather is still all over the place, but I did manage to find this at an auction.
It's a Lockheed brakes cabinet, the top three drawers are full of tools, sockets, ratchets, wrenches, the rest of the drawers are full of various hardware. just about all of it was US made. paid about 87.00

Found this Ridgid pipe threading set at a yard sale for $15. OO-R. 1/8" to 1". Seemed too cheap to pass it up. Everything looks hardly used. Tried the 1/2" - worked good.

Nice...I paid $40 for the same set at a yard sale last summer and I thought I got a good deal. Each die is over $50 new

Lots of good scores guys!

Tomahawk, that is a really cool drawer setup!

Guys, it's late I'm beat so I'm going to just dump a bunch of pics with minimal commentary, but this is what (Finally) came home from Idaho. 9 hours round trip with stops door to door to go get them from my cousin while he visited his son... :3gears:

Three boxes like this, plus one of the long flat boxes...

My Dad's hunting Ammo belt: two cheap knives, an even cheaper canteen, a WWII pouch with his last deer tags in it, and a bit over 3 boxes of 06 ammo (for his rifle; coming later) You can't tell in the pic but my dad added a section of another belt to extend the ammo belt, so it had two buckles. I doubt the original Hunter belt EVER fit him!

A new fanny pack/water bottle, and from his fishing box, some needle nose pliers, a pocket knife and a Cabella's multi tool.
attachment.php

The 4 master locks are all keyed alike.
attachment.php

I these these in mostly as filler.
attachment.php

the T-bar breaker is an older Craftsman, and the Ratchet is a Stanley extendo handle. The wrench is a Mac, the only truck tool he had...
attachment.php

NewBriton puller and the clamp with the orange piece has a little story behind it. I made those for Xmas gifts many years ago. It's actually a fishing pole holder and it's missing the screw on tube (1-1/2" roll cage tubing, with a plug welded in one end.) I also gave a long spike with the head cut off and threaded so the tube could be stabbed into the ground for shore fishing.
attachment.php

The Crows foot is 2", and marked US with an AN number on it. No clue where he got it or what he needed it for... the oddball piece on top is probably for grooming a hoses hoof/shoe.
attachment.php

4 of the old craftsman sockets, the rest were the only non-Asian sockets he had. the coffee can had taps dies, router cutters, and Allens in it...

Drill bits and a Breaker from Sparta, a brand I never heard of but marked USA:
attachment.php

Pincers, probably from when he was running horses.
attachment.php

These wrenches I never expected to see again: He'd left these with me when he an my mom divorced. When he started into his horse ranch attempt, and I was coming up to visit for 3 weeks, he asked me if I could bring him the larger wrenches if I didn't need them, as he was wokring with equipment for cutting and bailing hay for the horses. So I did. I assumed he'd lost them over the years. One at least is marked USN (one of the 2 Plvmb's). Did I mention he was in the navy?

attachment.php

And his deer rifle. now this was a surprise: not the Cal. (30-06) but the gun being a semi auto as dad was always adamant about having a bolt action... I'm guessing his old shoulder could not deal with the recoil on the bolt so this may have helped...

Its a Rem. Woodsmaster 740

attachment.php

And that's about it! the remaining tools (Most of them) were almost all from across the western pond, and I left them....

Stopped at an estate sale Fri. that was loaded with new old stock miscellaneous. Picked up the new filter wrench and combination lock.

Also, the Craftsman vise (sold to a member), crusty Wagner pan, some ATF to play around with (as recommended by GJ members), a cheapo 3/4" T-handle, and what's hopefully a nicely preserved Williams Superrench someone used to stir tar!!!!!. WHO DOES THAT?????

Also grabbed the vintage Craftsman Axe.

Went to the flea market and picked up a couple pieces of Snap On (pick, torx for flip screwdriver, 1/4 socket handle, tiny wrench) and MAC ratchet, Craftsman pliers. Also a Snap On socket is some type of specialty socket.

Also picked up this monster 2" ratcheting wrench for a wopping 10 bucks. I was ready to pay more so couldn't get the money out quick enough when the guy said 10 bucks. Said he paid 11 for it at auction and just wanted his money back.

Here are some more pictures of the Snap On socket too. Looks to be a special made 1/2" drive 15/16" from 2007. Their site has it listed but no info on it. I was told it's some type of truck socket. Any ideas?

Jeff,
Nice cabinet!! You ****!!

A few Sundays finds. Grobet and Xcelite precision pliers, Grobet saw, Arkansas stone, Optivisor and a 3/8" CM RHFT ratchet. (about $20 total)

P1030075.jpg

Wonder what that hammer is used for? It looks like something an orthopedic surgeon would use but it has a wood handle.

What is the year on the Coleman? It is stamped on the bottom with two digit year. Is it Red?

The knuckles are to hold flywheel when working on lawn mower. Here is mine. Purchased a dozen tears ago new.

Those are very nice locks. I collect Sargent and would be interested in the one with a key, if you don't already have a use for it.

holy ****! Very nice haul, but how much labor did it cost you?

Lets see.. Three different visits-about 3-4 hours each time..

Here's from the past week and a half..

Brass Knuckles= Small Engine Flywheel Holder, just my guess.

You're right!! Thank you.. I was able to find a couple examples here on the internet and ebay prior auctions.

There is a "63" After a "200A" on the bottom.. Is that the year? Yes--its red in color and in VERY GOOD shape--but it has been used. I have to drain some of the fuel out of it as it still has some nice clean fuel in the tank.

Thanks again fella's.
