Exam stool is cooooool!
Put a little shelf/tray under that stool and it would make a comfy shop scoot.![]()
I drove out to an estate sale in New Braunfels Saturday, about half an hour, to check out one item they had listed. I got there early and waited for two hours. It turns out they checked the internet for the price on a Blackhawk bantam Porto-o-power box. It was a bit rough, and they wanted $250, which was out of my budget, especially since I don't need it.
Thanks Nine-Fo! This sale was basically an open door to a stuff filled garage, nothing sorted or priced. That was the first thing that caught my eye, so I grabbed it and carried around while I did the rest of my 'shopping'! BTW, your work is very inspiring.
Thanks Jake, I can see you're a thinking man! I got a buddy with brake, I'll have to see if he'll bend me up sumpin'. Prolly a twelver of his favorite brew will git r done!

Tis the season. Ten bucks for the lot. Most are doubles. The channel locks pliers hs interesting jaws. How did i do
Thanks Man, you sound like me, see the most awkward thing at the sale first, and then have to carry it around in the hustle![]()
I didn't know Wilton made/marketed a Panavise type vise. (or is that the latest from Panavise with Wilton branding?)

A little bit of humor for the thread from my daily calendar.
Yes it is a proto!Bobcat, that's some pretty nice Proto pieces.
??is that 1/4" open gear ratchet a Proto? If so I've never seen one.
Bobcat, looks like your grandpa had very good taste in tools. Sorry for your loss, hope they bring you good memories in use.![]()
Plvmb stuff,Final pic unless someone wants to see in depth pics of something.
Still a few sockets from sk,thorsen,snap-on,giller just to name a few. All of this came from my grandpas garage. He's long gone but his tools are still here.![]()
Yes it is a proto!
Bobcat: i thought you were first in the door at an estate sale and grabbed everything. sorry to hear it was your Gramps and glad to see the tools have another good home to reside in. you Gramps must have been pretty handy because those tools have some nice patina on them.

There was also a 3/8 thorsen that was similar to the proto.I have one of these that is a p&c. Probably exact same ratchet just differently badged (same company).
