I’ve looked, joined Facebook pages, watched videos and can’t find anything so I’m trying here too.

Bought this 2016 tahoe. The rear has air suspension, the front does not. The bags on the rear are flat. The compressor is working and pumping. We tried plugging into it with a scan tool and all it reads is “can’t communicate with module, verify key is on and try again.” Can anyone shed some light on this? The dealer local is pretty old school so told me it’d be cheaper for me to diagnose, even though I can’t figure **** out.

When I start the car the compressor comes on and stays on for about 3 seconds. I think I’ve checked the correct fuses but can only find one under the hood and I think there is a relay under the hood but I can’t confirm.

I know most delete this setup but I’d like it to work if possible. I spoke to the dealer about parts and they’re suggesting go aftermarket for the parts.

Ain’t gonna lie. I’m wishing the wife didn’t like this thing. Pretty sure I’d trade it for a non big 3 SUV if I could make her happy 😂

I have a 2007 and had to get a tech 2 to read suspension codes. Not sure what scanner you are using.
My first issue was a broken rod end on the height sensor.
Now I have a code for shorted or open left rear shock that I haven’t got around to yet.

Can't communicate with module is your starting point, check for powers and grounds at the module with a incandescent test light.
Next step is check the com wires at the module a scope iis the preferred and fastest method but also the most expensive way a ohm meter can be used.>
I would need the RPO codes to get you the correct wiring at the plug.
But from experience I can tell you the module lives in the rear of the car above the spare tire and are known to rot out and have water intrusion issues hence the no com codes.

So I have no codes or lights on at all. I had the spare tire down tonight cause apparently the wiring harness had a pinch point about it. That must have changed though cause my harness was routed differently than shown in pics.

What are RPO codes? Does the module look like this?
