I got the Milwaukee M12 3/8 ratchet that I asked for, a hands free Bluetooth phone speaker so I won't get a ticket and the requisite socks and undies.

Two Wera screwdriver sets, a Tekton 1/4" torque wrench, and a Knipex plier set. Sorry for the stock photos, the torque wrench and the pliers haven't arrived yet.

Wife is focused on getting the 23 and me dna kit and we overspent on the kids and dinners for visiting family so I got pez dispensers from my middle child and a check so ugly I'd toss it if anyone else bought it for me. To a 7 year old it looks great so on the desk it goes. Bought myself 10" and 2" pegboard hooks as the new to me shop has wall to wall pegboard.

The wife got me this tool cart I left some subtle hints about:). I am going to use it as a little mobile detail cart for when I am cleaning the cars in the driveway.

I think this will be the first year ever I haven't received tools for Christmas! My parents located and framed the original of this photo of my grandfather testing an armature in the U.S. Steel Clairton Works, outside of Pittsburgh, where he worked until retirement.

I received the boot for my Milwaukee mid torq. It is something I probably wouldn't buy myself but I think I am going to like it. Now I will have to buy one for the 1/4" impact.

The kids had various ideas of what my shop needed. Moisture meter for the firewood because I'm always guessing what is seasoned or not, the Milwaukee Demo Gloves because I'm always wearing out the cheaper ones, and the pink flamingo because my donkey figurines looked "lonely".

The six M12 and M18 tools I got myself this month were happy additions but i love that my family pays attention to the little things that i forget to fix.

I was not happy with the quality of the test leads that came with my Fluke 233. The leads were too stiff. Now I'm good, thanks to a hint a month ago to family members.

Gotta love those old factory pictures. All of them had those multiple small panes of glass windows that had never been washed.

Fantastic haul this year from the famjam,

Parents got me a 4ah DeWalt battery for my impact and a three tool Dremel set (3000 rotary, roto-zip, and oscillating tool), Swiss Army knife from Grandma, t-bevel and compression tester from sister dearest. Top everything off with a prime rib dinner that can't be beat and you've got a pretty awesome xmas.

I gave out a pair of Channellock crimpers, plastic welding kit for Dad, small toolbox of basic handtools for the girlfriend and a new tape measure for the sister, all as well as a few non-tool related gifts.

I'm truly happy about the tool presents this year! The Wera combination tool kit is the 2017 Advent Calendar from my wife, and the Wera long blade multi-bit driver set is my personal gift to myself. My parents just came back from the Philippines via Tokyo, so they picked up some Vessel screwdrivers during their layover--can't wait to try out the grey handled Impacta on some frozen Phillips screws. The Harbor Freight pliers actually don't appear bad at all, and their composite ratchets have a really nice feel. I've used the 1/4", usually the crappiest, disassembling a few AC motors yesterday morning.

Been getting myself a few Christmas gifts that all came in this week.
What I didn't take pictures of:
Full set of new Snap On striking pry bars. Old style black handles.
Snap On 1/2" SAE shallow and deep socket sets.
Snap On 1/2" extension set.
Misc Snap On sockets and extensions to complete other sets.
Milwaukee Fuel 3/8" Impact gun.
Non Tool: My son got me an Apple watch. No idea what to do with it.
Spent a few hours Christmas Eve with our President and First Lady. USA

Those Park Tool cone wrenches sure came in handy when I did a lot of mountain biking. I never was impressed with their crude stamped build quality and the "Shop Cone Wrench" set wasn't any better, although longer for more leverage, but they were about the only thing that I could get in some hubs to actually adjust the cones. Even thin tappet wrenches wouldn't fit most hubs.

Furious Filipino,

I've never seen this Wera tool kit. It is very nice! Is it new as of 2017?

Do you know its Wera model #?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave,

The tool kit on the left is the 2017 Wera Advent Calendar
part# 05135998001.

I think the arrangement is fairly unique that they don't offer a similar stand alone tool kit in their line.

The kit on the right is just the Kraftform Kompakt 60, which is available with your choice of fixed, ratcheting, or torque handle.

I got this novelty 10-in-1 tool as a stocking stuffer. Gentleman's Hardware. As the name suggests, it fits in a standard credit card slot in a wallet. Came from England, but it was made in China. I have to admit, it's a neat concept, and well-branded.

I got some Kobalt tools... 3/8 impact, claw hammer and screwdriver set. Plus this nifty Raybestos cabinet.

I got a Rapidair garage master kit in 1/2”, well actually I got a $100 rural king gift card because my wife told my MIL I needed a new coat, I argue that my Carhart Rancher I’ve had for like 20 years has nothing wrong with it and doesn’t need replaced. So I got the air kit.

My 10 year old son got a Ridgid drill/driver and impact driver combo kit and a huge dewalt drill and bit set. He has a little genesis 6 or 12 volt cordless screwdriver and I felt it was time for him to get upgraded, the lifetime battery, parts and service made it a no brainer, I figure since he’s 10 they’ll stop making parts well before he ruins the drivers. R9602 is the kit.

Wife got me the XWT11z. Was planning on the Ryobi P261 to carry on four wheeling rides and long road trips but was already invested in the Makita platform. Might still get the Ryobi for the side by side and keep the Makita in the shop. Would be nice if Makita would come out with an inflator, which would make that decision easier.

Thing is so tiny. Now I need 1/2" impact sockets.
