I went back to the estate sale today that I hit Thursday (post 2689), and in pics 1-3 found:

Bonney Streamline 7-pc long pattern set, 3/8" through 3/4" $8.50. I thought these were 1950's cool, and will likely flip.
n $1.50

Bill - Those Bonney wrenches are cool! I would be interested in them if you decide to sell them!

I saw a craigslist ad and went to look at a hose crimper, I came home with 5, 3 Eaton ET1000s , 1 Gates 4-20 and 1 RYCO 160. The RYCO has never been used all have pumps and dies.

want to sell any of them? was looking at hose machines earlier today! Would like to keep one on the service truck!

$3 WWII (I think) bayonet sheath from the Flea...

Story behind the bayonet sheath! I bought it at the far end of the parking lot. stuck in in my back pocket. as I was walking to my rig I realized it wasn't' in my back pocket anymore...

So I backtracked to where I was when I stuck in in my back pocket. no sign... I slowly walk back and stooped where ever I had previously.

Almost out and its on a table where I had asked about a price. I picked it up and told the guy I had dropped this and had bought it "way back there"

"Oh Yeah someone picked it up off the ground and put it on my table. No problem glad you found it!

Phew!

I want to know if you need a rating from the railroad commission or a CDL to just move it around the shop.

I also just checked the retail on the Snap-on site for just one of those....$27 grand?! Ho. Lee. Fuq! What'd you get em for, waggoner--$2000 and a case of Yoohoo?!

That's the copper layer underneath the chrome. I just picked up a little one of those Williams this week too. Meant to post my sale finds from the week but got sidetracked here.

Wagonner - those boxes are massive.

This is my "things i bought at sales to resell" pile. It is starting to get out of hand. I need to swear off more sales until I make a dent in the pile.

I thought the growing pile was normal. I even built a new storage area last year just for that reason.

Everything is coming up vises for me lately...

Found this wartime vintage Williams No. 21 pipe vise today. It's missing the screw-clamp, so I'll be on the lookout for that now.

20170507_084622_zpso80xsrxf.jpg

Here's the image of it in the 1943 Williams catalog.

Williams%20Pipe%20Vise%20No%2021_zpsechc0lzn.jpg

LEFT BEHIND:

Chromed 1-inch drive set, mainly Bonney, some PROTO. (Post-war, and I wasn't going to pay what the guy wanted.)

20170507_075045_zpslkgmyphh.jpg

Very cool vintage peg leg vise. No maker's mark. (Guy wanted way too much.)

BB; Most of those are wrenches, or and least long/skinny. Pick up 2-3 carry boxes the same size or close; the kind with the flat top, and use those to organize/store what fits well

A couple of 1Xs on the ends (to clear the handles folded down) and you can stack them neatly, and it take a 9X20 footprint instead of a bench top or three. I've done the same with Kennedy 520 sized boxes...

Clear packing tape in the exposed ends and mark what is currently in them.
leave a "ripocord" for changing lables as needed...

BB: go to Costco and pick up a few of their $9 black and yellow storage bins, and that stuff might just fit in two of them. ask my how i know cause i think i might own 50 to 100 of them. unfortunately it doesn't cure FSD (flat surface disease) and i'm looking for the pill cause i might have 10 benches that look like that. good luck and if you are looking for SYMPATHY you came to the right thread and if you want a cure go to the SHOW YOUR TOOLBOX thread and they'll whip you into shape.

WAG: OMG isn't even a good enough saying. so i guess the guy that owned those needed a few culverts and you had a few. GEEESH you better build that 60x120 shop in a hurry now cause you just bought a semi sized tool box.

cheers all and have a great day.

Upper left in photo, SO ratcheting driver and a Vise grip c clamp, not Dewitt though.
Stubby SO ratcheting driver, Stanley Fat Max level with rotating degree dial, a Crafstman hand drill with bits in handle. A Klien driver with the tip for some of the new circuit breaker screws, a cross between a square head and slotted.

Ok, here's the buy with a little story. I'd bought a Lista and Vidmar ( Vidmar for Shorty) a few weeks back from a machine shop. They had 10 of these, all in great shape and a good deal at $ 300 each. There was a 14 drawer Vidmar that was there and liked, but didn't get at the time. I kept thinking about it, realized how it would benefit being in my shop ( really, I'd get rid of two smaller cabs, honest) and called to see if he still had it, no, it's was sold and was to be picked up on Friday. Damn, what get for not acting soon enough.

Well, I called on Friday morning to ask if it had really been picked up and it hadn't, the seller couldn't get ahold of the buyer and at the end of the day he said it was mine if I wanted. I paid right then over the phone and picked up on Saturday, close to a job I had to go by, how convient.

Holy hell what a complete and utter shyt hole Photobucket has become! If there was a way I knew about to do a bulk download of all photos I have on there, I'd do it and delete my account.

That being said, here was my weekend's grand find for $10.

Arctic Cat clutch puller and a clutch holding tool.

Racin: i stopped using PB years ago and i really used to like them until they kept changing things all the time.

for me i take pictures with my cell phone and email them to myself. then open email and save them to a folder to post as i want to. once they are on my laptop i used the paperclip just above and in the middle of where we write our posts and if 7 pictures isn't enough i take up another post and post more in the next post. i do like the full size PB pics at times, but the thumbnails i post can be enlarged to even bigger than those with 2 or maybe 3 clicks on your mouse.

good luck and i hear your pain.

CB: are you planning on opening up a VIDMAR STORE!! seriously nice finds you have and they work a helluva lot better than my black and yellow Costco plastic boxes to store our STUFF.

just know that Waggoneer was like that a couple years ago and now look at his last SNAP ON purchases. JUST SAYING!!

No joke, I had to log in no less then 2 dozen times today and tried to upload that photo no less then 10 times, often times getting kicked out either trying to get to the upload page or mid-upload.

And the ads will take a laptop capable of running Solidworks fairly fast and bring it to its knees.

Then to top it off, I log in to see and read about two guys here hauling off literal semi loads of Vidmar and Snap-Off boxes, that is just the cherry on the top.

RACIN: calm down and since it's SUNDAY and maybe some sunshine where you are sit down with a cold one (ICE TEA IN MY CASE) and just smell the roses and be happy that you don't have to find the space for those two giant snap ons or the 20 vidmars that they do.

i know there is maybe easier or quicker ways to get pictures off your cell phone and onto GJ than i mentioned, but it works for me.

good luck and if PB goes back to 8 years ago when it was free and working well i'd pay them $30 a year to use it, but i wouldn't pay a nickle to use it now.

cheers

BB: looks like you need a few more hooks cause i see a few wrenches that might not fit on your existing ones you have. :dunno:

I'd kick the dog out of the shop to make room for the Vidmars and trade in the Snap-Ons for something else.

And I am pretty calm. If I said what I really think about Photobucket, I'd be banned from the internets.

So did you buy all 10 of them? Even if you just got a couple and that 14 drawer, you ****!! I am toolbox poor currently but I'd still be all over those. I love me some vidmar boxes.
That is one thing I do as well, keep in touch with your sellers, so many people back out of deals and you can be the one to jump on them.

I DO need to add a second row to my bottom row on my wench rack. However, the wrenches you see on the bench are my duplicates.

What I really need to do is NOT become more efficient at storing but rather become more effective at selling.

Ditto. Sometimes I'll type my entries on the laptop simply because the keyboard is easier, and then go back with my phone to edit the entry and add in the pictures.

No, but funny you say that, was thinking about the others that were left on the way home, but I'm just flush right now. The price is great along with the condition. This make 12 that I have ( I think) I just need to go through all of them, clean and lube the bearing and paint. I'll have at least 500 bearings to do between all the boxes.
I picked up the below Lista from same place a couple weeks ago, never have seen this drawer configuiration.

Had these plastic trays in a couple of drawers, not sure if I'll be able to use though.

And I also picked up a 13 drawer for a member here, that thing was pristine.

12?!?! Dang it I'm behind!! I remember reading to lube them with "super lube with ptfe" from harbor freight? I have a couple that were basically brand new that were sitting a while and the drawers are a little stiff. I figured they would loosen up over time with some weight in the drawers.

This weekend was nearly a total bust, only a couple decent things...

One thing I missed out on literally as I was around the corner I passed a truck that was leaving with the item I wanted...

Older Craftsman socket set, the one with the 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" drive, short / long, SAE / Metric... all in one big box... AND looks like a decent assortment of combo wrenches to go along with it... $60...

I didn't want to show up at these people's place too early and sit there waiting... In hind sight that's exactly what I should have done... lol.. Oh well, there will always be another... Missing out on this really bumed me out the rest of the day (that and the fact all the other sales this whole weekend were a bust)...

That's exactly what I used, but in a NGLI 1 grade, a little looser grease. I also read about using that and how hopefully the synthetic wound dry out like one of the regular grease.

I'll update my thread on that and send you a pm when I do.
