That was the original full price, or the markdown?

That was the original price.

It's still on the website at that price.

DSD's claim of "around $50" was based on the $**.02 I saw them at in my store.

We know .02 (or .03) will be the final markdown before a penny. Thus .02 will be about 25% of retail.

$49.88 x .25 = $12.47. Or if you know an item (this item) is $13.02 work it backwards:
$13.02 x 4 = $52.08

Again, you can see it's not EXACTLY 25% (rarely is) but it gets you in the ballpark.

I pm'ed the mod months ago and asked him to lift the ban. He said no. Bans on this site are often quick without even a warning and for minor things. It's disappointing because a lot of good posters got banned for small stuff.

I assure you, he's doing good and VERY happy rolling with us!!

I missed my invite to that board. :headscrat jk

no one needs a board if they know what they are doing. He certainly added and helped a lot of people here. I've heard from others he's doing well. There were a number of others from FL, NC, etc. who used to post here too. I imagine they're doing well too but the newbies here are the ones who lose without their posting here.

WD-40, 2 pack of 14.4 oz cans, $5.04 in Colorado.

I carried around a 2-pack all over the store yesterday, in the end decided I don't need anymore WD40 and put it back LOL. I might bite at $2.52.

There was a 3-pack of Husky insulated screwdrivers, too at $2.52. Sorry no SKU. I passed on those, too. Just don't need insulated screwdrivers or any more screwdrivers at all

That's funny because he's sure not listing as much stuff on eBay as when he was still on this board. Must have switched usernames or is selling locally, right...

Or moved to selling to amazon would prob be the smart answer... Trust me it wasn't smart banning him.. You could tell by the web traffic drop in this forum.. People came to this site just for his post.

I don't know that mods really care about maximizing traffic, they care about the rules when they care about them and care about who breaks them based on who breaks them. There is no consistency of enforcement or prevailing logic that I've seen.

Yes...you can vote by not posting deals here anymore. If enough people start "voting", the mods will start to notice.

Hasn't that already happened?! This thread blows now compared to prior years...

FFS... If you want to talk about a banned member, do it in another thread.... It's getting annoying checking in on this thread only to see a couple people bitching about a banned member like a couple old ladies...

In other news, I'm hopefully going to swing by my HD today or tomorrow, will post up any good deals I find. Also will report back if they made any changes to the computers & PCA...

My PCA is not working, I guess the deal hunt is over. Asked manager and they said they are restricting access to public due to too many complaints.Told me to use HD.com

We can just start taking shopping carts full of items to the self-checkout. Scan them for a price check, and then leave what we don't want in the cart. That may tick them off enough to bring it back at your location.
In Ohio, not only are the computers still available, I have found one by the entrance, set up with a chair, just for customers to use :)

I was using it yesterday and the guy came from behind the counter and asked me what I was doing. I told him I was checking for a price on a toolbox. He pointed to them and said they're all labeled. I walked him over and showed him 2 types that had no pricing at all, then the idiot spent 5 mins on his computer looking for a price.
I asked him if I could just use the computer since that's what it's for and he said not anymore. SW Washington.

One and only thing I'll say about PCA. Well two things. It stills works in my local stores, and it's always easy to find a machine where nobody will bother you (appliances section is my favorite).

Two, I doubt unavailability of computers in the store is a reaction to a few dozen deal hunters on the internet. If I were running a business I'd be loathe to allow customers access to computers in a store.. this is a huge security and liability issue. Guys trying to buy some cheap nonsense would be the least of my worries.

I'm betting that there's a greater than 50% chance that it will still scan. Sharpies don't do that great of a job in making a barcode un-scannable.

Just picked up a precision ratcheting screwdriver for 1.82. Stubby set was the same price. Store said they had 30+ wall hangers, but none down low. Still waiting/watching to see if the torque screwdriver drops by me. Still $60.
