I just bought a M18 Cordless Drill Driver/Impact for $169.
- Common price at several HD's in the Twin Cities
It comes with a free battery in the box (3 total)

I picked up the M18 string timber and free blower on the promo, to be combined with the Menards 11%. (Also got the Husky 56" cabinet)

Trimmer is a 10/10. Plenty of power for cutting a bunch of tall grass... I haven't trimmed around about 9 trees yet this year, and some are apples quite close to the ground. The battery showed 4 bars (9.0) but it was in use on my 2763 impact before. Got all the trimming done I wanted to with 1 bar remaining. Going to get a little roto tiller attachment for my Husky string trimmer for doing the raised beds and leave it on there now.

Put it in the blower, 8/10. Only a small spot to blow. Blew everything I wanted it to. It's well-designed, light-weight (though physically large, I'm sure due to a LARGE fan for efficiency reasons). The only thing is it definitely lacks power from its gasoline-powered counterpart. But for the minimal stuff I had to blow, it worked perfect... and way better than getting out a gas blower and starting it up.

Really like these tools.

Dewalt compressor with nail gun down to $150. Makita set down to $190 half price. HD and dewalt are having a party next week at area stores.

One store had these at a clearance price of $13.03, all other stores regular price, picked up the 2 they had.

I have the craftsman branded version that I bought probably a little over a year ago. Obviously heavier than a pneumatic, but the advantage is you aren't tied to an air hose so you can use it anywhere. I think it can shoot about one nail per second, though I rarely go that fast, I take my time to line up everything. Only had one jam, and that was kind of my fault. Easy to clear though you just flip the clip up top.

^ ^ ^ Real Tool Review did YouTube analysis on cordless nailers and the Ryobi did very well and the Milwaukee not so much.

Personally, I don't use those small nailers enough that it's worth having cordless when pneumatic last a lifetime, and I'll always have a small compressor.

If you're a woodworking pro or make cabinets all day, then by all means buy the best cordless, regardless of brand.

Canary Dropped to $50.03, but in only one store. The rest of the ones went back to $199...It was still tagged $199 on the shelf but I seen the printed tag on the cart at $50.03 and PCA confirmed. I was giving up on getting these at .03 levels so check your stores....

My air nailer died in the middle of my son's trim job in his house. He bought this one at full price and told me not to bother replacing the air nailer. Very powerful and friendly to use with no hose. YMMV.

I have an array of other Ryobi tools/batteries and added this one since I needed to put in baseboards and other home projects. It works great and easy to use, and no compressor or hose to drag around the house. I paid full price but it was worth it at the time.

I think it's a pretty good deal, especially if you already have some batteries. They also get very favorable reviews.

80% of my power tools are Milwaukee, but I have the Ryobi chemical sprayer, hybrid fan, and their better 18v blower. The fan is half the cost ($40 v $80) of the Milwaukee which is why I got it at the time (actually i got it for $20, and didn't own batteries but i could still use it with an extension cord). Then I got the 4ah batteries on clearance one year, then the chemical sprayer, actually 2, then the blower. I never will pay retail, but I think they are a great bargain for the price nonetheless. 10-15 years ago I wouldn't have said that.

I did just receive the Milwaukee fan today as part of a package ironically, so I may be down one Ryobi tool/accessory by the end of next week. Will see after testing

The nailer is tempting. I don't want to buy the nailer at a good price and then have to pay retail for batteries and a charger to use it immediately.

Anyone know if there will be any good memorial day sales? I see covered and targeted pallets like they do for the other holidays...

Looking for the HD memorial weekend sale details. They had 52'' tool chests and top chests in the aisle ready to go, and then M18 and 20v-max drill/driver kits all piled up. No prices on anything. Anyone know what the deal is likely to be? Regular sale was $199 on the 20v-max drill/driver in a fancy box, so maybe could be sub $180 without the box and Memorial Day?
