Found 3 tops and 3 bottoms. Could only fit the top in my sedan. The rubber matting said it was usually 40 something. 49 for the top. I think I saw one of the 52 inch bottoms. b71d43260c061f2f083c5f044cc6cf93.jpg

So I was at my nearest HD at 0630 this morning. Not a damn deal on any isle whatsoever. Only a crappy single end cap with garbage items that couldn't be given away. So very interesting how some HD's have mega deals while others don't. At this point, I'm throwing in the towel trying to find HD deals in California. In 3 years of driving 50 minutes to my nearest HD and coming up empty handed, I GIVE UP. I have yet to see a yellow $.06 or .03 tag, and at this point, those tags are mythical creatures only read about in books. Glad that you guys are finding these deals, but in central Ca, those deals are straight up unicorns; don't exist.

Can confirm. It's a west coast thing. I see great deals left in right all over the southeast.

Agree, almost nothing like those deals here either, and us constantly fighting for position as the poorest state in the nation means any deals are swooped up the second they hit the floor.

Sorry to hear that... It's all about city size & excess inventory... If they have good inventory turnover, then nothing would ever go on clearance... If stuff sits on the shelves and collects dust, then that's a different story... There is also a chance the nightly crews might grab it too...

Also, don't just assume it has to have a clearance tag, they could just be lazy and never move it. It might be up in the rafters. Or it could be somewhere you haven't looked. The #1 thing I recommend is using the PCA on a computer in the store and doing some searching and finding hopefully a good clearance item that has a small qty in your store.

I don't go out of my way to go to HD for deals, but if I'm there for other stuff I will spend a few extra minutes on the computer, likewise I always check the clearance sections, end caps, pro area, and tool area for anything that might be on clearance.

Honestly though, I find better stuff at yard / estate sales 99% of the time. But I like old USA things with character... ;)

I totally agree. I've never tried the computer search at the HD, so I'll give it a whirl, but I'm not getting my hopes up for a $600 tool box at 1 penny. Yard sales have been good, as have thrift stores. I saw a craftsman 1.3HP, 6 inch bench grinder for $50. thing was in great condition. I have an older box model, so I don't need another. I decided to leave that deal for the next guy. Man...did he take a while getting there. It was over two weeks and I was nearing the end of my tolerance for a good deal. I told myself, if they run their 50% off sale I won't be able to hold back. Alas, a buyer came and took advantage of the deal. I'd like to think it wasn't a reseller.

I've seen some of the deals posted here, but as mentioned above, sometimes they're not set aside, or even priced as such.

I guess I could look them up in the computer if I so chose, but most of them just aren't a big of enough deal to me to matter. Unfortunately at my store there are 2-3 employees always hanging around the pro desk, so you get pounced on the second you touch it and they won't leave. Since anything I'd buy is for my personal use I just don't bother pressing the issue.

Bought 3x Dyson Animals for $125.03/ea and 2 of the Multi-Floor for $80/ea. I left a few displays for employees.

Thanks. I hit my HD today hoping to find that deal, but it was still $20. I ended up buying it anyway. They had some Gladiator stuff clearanced a bit(less than 50%), but nothing too great. A shelf and some hooks.

Stanley Staples on clearance. 1/2", 9/16" and 3/8"

I grabbed the last 2 of the 1/2" myself. Did not see any staplers on clearance.

Same here is California, ok sorry, Back to the deals.

while looking for the bessey 24" Tradesman clamps I found one store location that had other clamps too... I scored several of each when I bought them out.....

Dang I'll have to stop by my local store to see if any of these are showing up locally. I was able to snag 3 of the 24" F-style clamps, but I would love a couple of parallel clamps especially at those prices.

Yea, definitely worth searching for. Bessey 24" Revo K clamp for $10. No brainer.

Local HD didn't have the Dyson Vac's on clearance. They were on sale though. I'll check back next week.

You have to look things up in the computer. The vacuums i bought had yellow stickers from the first mark down but were at .03 pricing.

No dice this morning :( Still the full price at $39. Oh well.

I only found 3 out of the 20 or so stores near me that had that price. And only 1 of those had the 40" F clamps clearanced. Actually the closest to work that I check prices on at lunch, just stumbled on those 40" at .03, or .53 whatever.

73x77x24" Gladiator Shelves @ Home Depot

I'm finally getting my shed and wanted/needed these shelves. Retail is shown as $199 and Lowes has them on sale for $179. Home Depot is selling them for $139.99 through 07/05/17.

has anyone ever seen these cheaper? I would like to get a couple but don't need them right away and could wait till black Friday or something like that if they go for less.

Thanks.

I hit up a different HD this morning an a higher class community looking for clamps on clearance (80miles from home) None were available, not only that but they didn't really have any clearance stuff either, just some stanley staples marked down.

30% off is about as good a price as I have seen. Note that the Gladiator comes with four shelves vs some others that come with three or even two shelves. I have two sets of these and three sets of the 5' units and like them fine. I cut and placed 1/4" Luan on top of the welded wire decking they provide to allow things to slide on and off the shelves easier.

As was said in the original post, right now.. Lowes has it only 10% off, not the 30% at HD:

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Gladiator-...r-Steel-Freestanding-Shelving-Unit/1000003004

IF... you want to play the game, Lowes might/should meet and beat the HD price by 10%.
