You can't have a brain in your head and think posting on slickdeals is a good idea. That site has so much traffic, even big retailers like dicks, HD, Lowes, admazon, etc. can be wiped out of a product in less than an hour (if the deal is enough).

But what if they do have a brain...

While I'm certain that majority of the people posting stuff on SD are in it for the rep. points, I suspect many are from people that have an actual stake in the site's success.

If I owned SD, I'd monitor any private/public forums I could join for deals that I could re-post on my site. I'd also pay people to do the same bc I'd be too busy making it rain and chowing down on wings during the lunch buffet at the local **********. Payouts would be either based on page views or a percentage of any affiliate revenue generated from their posting.

Thats not even a requirement, lol

SlickDeals is turning into eBay....anything posted people just assume its the greatest ever and fight fight fight for it. They think about it afterwards (thats literally an unwritten motto there....buy first, ask questions later)

Unfortunately thats the world we live in...post there (or even here) and you just end up shooting yourself in the foot for being the nice guy.

I have a 9-5 job and 99% of the time I cant just up and leave to go buy a deal, so if I post it, there is a great chance that it will be gone by the time I can actually get to it.

You gotta love on SD when people post 'I have already, so I don't need another but it was a great price so I bought 2, don't know what I'll do with them though lol'.

It seems there are a ton of hoarders on there who sit and home and look for things to buy on SD or QVC, etc. all day long.

I didn't realize the roofing nailer was $68, I'm pretty sure I saw some of them at my HD (Lacey NJ) I'll have to go back tomorrow. I found one of the 15ga Fuel nailers, there was none on the shelf in the nailer aisle but there was one stashed on the clearance shelf over by the regular tools aisle. It had been sitting there for months with a $300.06 tag and still had the tag today (which is probably why it survived so long). The shelf in the nailer aisle was marked $100.03

Is that the limited edition? There are 3 limited edition tops at my store that have been at $60 for who knows how long. I've patiently been waiting for them to drop to $30 a piece

Does appear so. I got the top for 75 back in January. I get an extra 10% everything so it made it an ok deal, wish I could find those bottoms here.

Not mine but Look what I saw in an parking lot in Socal. No wonder no one has a shot. When I asked him if he was a Milwaukee rep, he said "I just get a list from my boss and i drive and buy.

He said he goes to 10-15 stores a day. I offered him 100 for the 957 but he said no. A$$hole

Kinda deflating.
I think he's a eBay seller I seen his items on sale look like the same car pictures were out of his trunk with the other nailers covered up

You're about 10 days late if you're just now looking for them!

That's why this thread is retarded. You have to check it basically every day to find any freaking deal on it. I wish we could go back to different threads for all the deals we find because then it is so much easier to browse.

If he is, I'm betting that he wishes he would have just sold you one at cost on the off chance it would have prevented you from posting that picture, lol.

Whenever I have a shitload of something, I will usually sell one to someone at cost if they catch me while I'm still in the store/parking lot.

That was my point exactly. I offered him $100 for the 957 I went to try to grab and he was a jerk.

Oh well. Guess Home Depot is a bust now for me.

And it looks like someone is trying to sell one of the Milwaukee brad nailers in the classifieds for a healthy profit now...

A store near me has a 46in Milwaukee top chest that was marked at $698 (full price for top and bottom) even though it was missing the bottom.

Last time I talked to the manager they offered it to me for 50% off and I declined saying that was a terrible deal.

The chest is now sitting in the rafters. What will happen to it now? I imagine since it's the last one in stock it will eventually get clearanced. Do I just need to be patient and check up on the price occasionally?

If you miss a too heavy to use Milwaukee nailer just get one on ebay. They are dirt cheap.

Or look into the Ryobi....they are "lesser" quality, so they should be a bit lighter.

I'm not sure many people have picked those up. They are probably double the weight of the comparable air nailer. For quick punch list stuff, they'd be fine but to run all day, your shoulder and arm would hate you.

I do know this is possible as I have received a list before from a search of a specific item number. It only shows stores and if its clearance and inventory. You still need to get on a computer and check the store price but thats much easier now with being able to switch. It was a big help when you couldn't switch store numbers but still helpful so you don't have to go down a long list of store numbers.

I have created such a list for all stores in my local area and it includes prices. It is SOOO much easier than going to the store.

Got the spirit grill today for $74

Great deal. I looked back, but is there a way to locate the Home Depot's that have these priced at $74? Or do you just have to keep stopping and checking? Are they labeled a different price? Sorry if I missed this

I actually ended up buying three of them lol.

I just hop on the computer and check the clearance prices and switch the store number at the top to check inventory and prices at the other locations.

Im not watching. I could care less what he buys and sells. I just looked, if he was big into it, there would be more than 5 items on ebay.
