Is there some kind of mailing list, or was it a regular ad?

Thank you!

Simple Green PRO HD 1-Gallon Unscented All-Purpose Cleaner
Item # 786048 Model # 13421

https://www.lowes.com/pd/Simple-Green-PRO-HD-1-Gallon-Unscented-All-Purpose-Cleaner/1000043575

$3.49

Thanks. Just picked up 5 of these Over the weekend, though not without the usual Lowes internet order BS. I ordered the 8 shown in inventory. Soon got pickup confirmation for 6. Get there to pick them up, and they only have 5. Than they tried to tell me they only charged me for 5, which was a lie, of course. Ended up getting my money back, but it is insane how they let associates steal customer merchandise.

Wish somewhere around here had that cheap Simple Green in stock, but they don't...

However, the regular gallon of Simple Green is $7.98 right now, at least that's a couple bucks cheaper than normal. I use it for a lot of cleaning, very versatile stuff.

Lowe's has the BLACK & DECKER 5-Amp Keyless T or U Shank Variable Speed Corded Jigsaw on sale for $19.98. Obviously, B&D nowadays isn't the first brand most of us here would turn to, but this particular tool seems to be well regarded for its value based on reviews from Amazon. Do you guys think this is a good buy for a DIY/homeowner level jig saw?

my B&D has kept up with any Dewalt I have ever owned. I also like the color orange. I also find that my tools disappear less cause people judge my B&D as being ****.

Thanks for the heads up on this, i need a new jigsaw.

I had to go into the store, as I wanted to use a store credit that can't be used online. They had one regular 1-gal with no spray bottle on the shelf for $13.**. Above that section were 7 jugs of the clearance, though online said 6 (are you in W. MI?). I ended up grabbing 5, as it is half worth it for the spray bottle alone.

The girl that got the cleaner down, asked if i wanted trash bags too. I said how cheap? They were Hefty flex w/ a good smell (?) 13-gal 40 count trash bags for 50%, down to $3.99. Cheapest elsewhere in my quick search was Walmart @ $7.49

Nice coincidence. I'm in NY. Would have went to the store but it wasn't that serious.

I'll have to dig up the receipt, but I got 4 pieces of 3/16" x 2" x 4' steel bar stock for $1.68 each yesterday. It was labeled $2.47 on the metal display, but rang up at the lower price.

My local store also had a number of Torin magnetic tool organizing contraptions on clearance. Some of them were only a dollar or two off, others 80-90%. I picked up a couple of the twist lock 1/4" drive socket rails for about $2.50 each.

Vastly over rated IMO and I have found just about any cleaner to work as good and in most cases much better. I've used gallons of it over the years and when doing a direct comparison to anything else, it NEVER worked better.

See this thread

Just to make sure, were you using the 'Pro' version? and say you picked up a gallon for ~$3.15 (with spray bottle, perhaps worth $1 on its own) would you re-consider it?

Is this simple green cleaner really that good never tried it and my store has a few.:dunno:

It depends on the usage. It is non-toxic and doesn't harm sensitive materials. I use it 50/50 to clean my motocross bike. hose the bike down, then spray it with simple green mixture, let sit and hose off. It does most the hard work for me.

Heavier concentrations of Simple Green are very capable of harming sensitive materials. And straight up, it'll melt paint. I had a gallon split and leak on my steel detailing shelves and the paint came right off underneath.

I've always had good luck with Simple Green, though now I use Meguiars APC for most of the things I used Simple Green for before. For $3-4 a gallon it makes a ton (10 gallons, IIRC?) and it's a great all-purpose cleaner for around the home.

Yes, which is "supposedly" the same formula as the motorsports version but more concentrated, according to Simple Green.

Having used it and always wondered why it 1. never really degreased anything and 2. took a lot of brush/scrubbing I started to wonder just how effect it was at cleaning.

I found a spray bottle with warm water and 5 drops of Dawn work far better than any version of Simple Green that I have used on dirt bikes, atvs, cars, race cars, engines, under the hood, bare transmissions etc.

IMO, it is extremely mild and successful due to a huge marketing machine behind it. Just like Armor All, 100's of better products out there but somehow they are still in business.

It's not a great degreaser when you mix it at all-purpose proportions, and yes Dawn is one of the best grease cutters on earth for safe water-based.

Simple Green will do a number on aluminum if you leave it sit long enough to degrease stuff.

I've never used it as a degreaser, but for everything else, I love the stuff. Especially at the prices I've been able to buy it.
