Schumacher Electric 700-Watt Power Backup System Item # 809726
normally 298.00. now 178.80.
Bought one today. Not much out there as far as reviews. If anyone has one of these,
please let me know what you think of it.
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Schumacher-Electric-700-Watt-Power-Backup-System/1000092907

It's $119.20 at the Mission Valley, CA and S. Savannah, GA lowe's. If you used a credit card that has price protection call them and ask how to submit a claim. Discover, Citi, Chase Visa all have price protection and will refund the difference if you find it lower. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. It's an easy $60.

I have solar panels so i dont really need this. When the power goes out there's an electric outlet on my inverter that will provide power during the day in the event of an outage, so i could plug my fridge etc into that.

The Bosch bits are pretty good...... Especially at this price! Thanks for the link.

You're welcome. I grabbed that day. Not sure there were any left in the store, as they were just laying on a table. I bought a large set of Ryobi drill bits, driver bits, etc. It was like 126 pieces for $19 I think. Knowing I had those, I still grabbed these Bosch. For $10, what the heck right?

Lay your hands on them before you pass judgement. They have a finish similar to my Wrightgrip. I would agree that Stanley is very hit or miss. I have Mac, Proto and Snapon sets in my collection. I know what expensive wrenches feel like. These are not cheap junk. Generally I find people either love or hate the finish.

stanley wrenches and sockets are fine. lowes has an excellent return policy if you don't like them. doesn't matter if wal mart sells them or not.

If you think a $10 tool is the same as a $100 obviously you are mistaken. For a home owner maybe stanley is good enough, but who wants good enough? Walmart isnt known for having quality products, they have cheap stuff made in China.

Nobody here is claiming these wrenches are the same as a $100 set. Also, WalMart does sell plenty of quality items, including plenty made in the states.

They're a $10 wrench set. Nobody is holding a gun to your head to buy them. Don't like them, move along.

Sheesh, and here I am defending imported wrenches and WalMart of all things...

OT, but I agree. I think it is accurate to say that no retailer carries more USA items than Wal-Mart. I'm quite impressed with just how much of their product has switched to USA stuff over the last while. They do a good job labeling USA merch also.

you're right. i better get my Mopar oil filters from a parts store instead of cheaper at wal mart as well. since i buy them from wal mart they must be lower quality

a stanley wrench is a stanley wrench, that's what i'm getting at. doesn't matter where you buy them from. and you already corrected yourself. you said they're "good enough"... well, if they're good enough to do the job then they are good enough to do the job. most people on here are homeowners and don't use them professionally. i've got stanley, craftsman, matco, snap on, husky, etc.. wrenches and i have yet to break any of them. as long as the size is on and the steel used is of half *** decent quality and the points aren't rounded on the closed end, you'd be getting pretty picky about a combination wrench. they've been around a long time, while they're no snap on, they're not junk either. they've worked for more years than you've been alive and that's the same reason why they're still around. if you want to nitpick, go find the snap on fanboy thread.

anyways, back to the deals.

You couldn't pay me $5 to take one of those from Porter Cable. Oh come on, someone out there wants to say that. Not me, but there's always someone saying a deal isn't a deal :D Nice find!

Actually I'm going 9 years on my nicd porter cable kit.. never an issue.. just getting old and time to upgrade. Replaced with Milwaukee fuel line.. chuck issues out of the box, warranty work, still some slight chuck issues. Definitely homeowner grade (the porter cable) but the price is so low I believe they're justified. People are using ryobi and black and Decker drills, I'd put the porter cable at their quality, higher in some cases.

Btw, 27 bucks here in iowa

I'm with you. I was REALLY being sarcastic. I just jumped in with Ryobi, but mostly because of certain tools they had that I wanted, like the Hybrid pump and compressor. I'd pay a lot more than $27 for a Porter Cable, that's for sure.

I have dozens of dewalt/porter-cable/Bosch drills/drivers in my garage that I got like $30/each. I recently started using some of them so I can see the difference in quality so I can give informed opinions. The Bosch is so nice. I have I think 8 identical Bosch drills in my garage. I wonder if I should post a pic of my garage it looks like a Lowes lol. I have dozens of faucets, drills, etc. so I might be a "tool snob, but at least I am an informed tool snob. Most guys on this forum only have experience with one brand.

you're not a tool snob if you've actually tried other things with the the other brands. it's the guys that are "anything but snap on is junk" or "anything but milwaukee or dewalt is junk" kinda people that get on my nerves. like the guy before bashing stanley tools... they've worked for millions of people for decades, they're not junk just because the name isn't there.

i'd be willing to bet even though you like bosch, you'll admit you pay the extra price for the extra performance for the bosch, though a ryobi will get the job done. that doesn't make you a snob to preference a brand over others, what makes you a snob is if you're ignorant to the fact that other things can get the task done as well.

$24.88 @ Langhorne, PA . 4 more left. Cashier orginially said there was an error and they couldn't sell it for that price. After they checked their system several times I was free to go. Lolda86f08ded11d6bf050858ec6279f9d1.jpg
