I've been looking at toolboxes in general and Lowe's has a deal on the green version of their 41" tool chest. It comes out to $600 for the top and bottom:

My wife, a Lowe's employee, unpacked a set of these last week. She fell in love with them and was ready to purchase.

Seem to be pretty good. My socket drawer hAs all of my sockets and 9 ratchets, a dozen different extensions. It's fairly weighted down and drawer is smooth as is the soft close feature

I noticed some of those irwins hit another price drop the other week knocking off a couple more bucks from their clearance. I might grab a couple myself one of these days.

What was strange in my area is most stores had them for $30/pc instead of $40. One store that was nearby was has them for $14 or $15/pc. 14 for a he right angle and 15 for the linemans.

Might be best to just go to the store rather than placing an online order and risk tipping of the employees. My brother just ordered a few of the right angle pliers with the computer showing 8 in stock. He got an email 30 minutes later indicating they were all out of stock and couldn't fill his order.

LOL, I got the math part. I am wondering how gets 50% off a clearance item.
FWIW, several of these are showing up in Phoenix area. $10.74 for lineman's, $9.99 for right angle, $17.99 for angle.
One store was out of stock, and listed at $9.99. The other had three, but was listed at $27.99. The one with three in stock price-matched to $9.99 with no issues.

The total % off isn't always accurate. Sometimes it is the amount since the last mark down.
I was just in Lowes doing a return/rebuy tonight, because the 11% rebate popped up again in my neck of the woods. The Lowes I was at also had the pliers marked to the same prices. I added those to my rebuy to get to $200 in order to use the coupon. So mine will be ~$7.50 & $8.10 after coupon/rebate/tax.
Also picked up the 8" cutting ones for $17.99 pre-dutchness, which ironically I sold a pair at a craiglist meet up right before I went for $25, knowing I was making at least $7, if they were still instock.
Not my math, it was just a cut and paste right from their website.
Question for those of you schooled in these deals.. I assume these are in store only? And if they are in store, are they only at certain stores or are they at every store? For example Stanley 758630 long nose pliers wete posted for $3.60 but on the lowes site they are $8.99...

Different prices for different location... At all of my local stores the prices are normal, not discounted.
What I do is set my store in the upper portion of the website. I then enter a part number I want to check. If my location doesnt have it or the price isnt discounted I click on the "check other stores" button below the aisle and bin location info. That shows the next 7 closest stores and if they have inventory.

Thanks. Glad I didn't go out of my way for an in-store pickup, as that's the only store that had a pair. I'll grab one for under $6, even if I were to end up donating. What size tennis shoe do you normally wear?, 11/11.5 hopefully.
