The store near me had 4 lineman's pliers and 4 of the pistol grip ones. I ordered 1 of each and got a VM for me to call the store and cancel my order. They could not find any of them.

I've had that happen several times with Lowes. Now, whenever they have a deal I want, I'll just go to the store to find it. No need to give the employees a heads up so they can get it first.

Or more likely, their inventory numbers are off possibly due to theft as inventory is only reconciled once a year storewide unless individual item counts are corrected by management.

More than likely they are in the warehouse. Some stores just did a reset on that part of the store and put the items not on merch in the back

Just picked up some of the $5.00 IRWIN right angle pliers at the Forney, TX store. They have plenty, just not with the pliers. They're on those merchandise clip strip thingies hanging on other shelves around the tool area and at the register.

My store went from having like 142 of the right-angle needle nose in stock on Wednesday to having 2 yesterday... I went to the store and there were boxes and carts all over the place re-doing everything... What a mess...

Couldn't find them, and couldn't even find an employee to help so I gave up and left.

I figured they were getting sent back to the warehouse or it was just a big mistake in the first place on quantity as they only seem to have a few of each item anyhow.

My guess is the couple that were in stock an employee stashed...

Went to the store today and looked around and f found all four lineman's pliers on a side end cap.

Most stores are still at $39.95ea. I would say they are good for under $15 bucks.
I could not pair two at the same time for a stereo effect, but not bad for a little speaker.. $6.99 and $9.99 in some Lowe's. good luck...

I went to a local store, they still had plenty of linesmen and angled pliers. Marked $30 each on the shelf and rang up at 10.72 and 9.99 each. Would've been nice to get them at $5 but the price was great already so I'm happy.

i bought one of these over the summer. i notice that the shelves on the side are not locked in place, and they slide forwards and backwards as i take things in and out.

am i missing something? there doesnt seem to be clips on the wall in the back to attach them with . . . .

The Irwin linesmans dropped to $10.74 and the right-angles to $9.99. There were only two linesmans on the shelf (inv. showed four), and three right-angles (inv. showed four). Grabbed one and two at a great price for these.

FWIW, several of these are showing up in Phoenix area. $10.74 for lineman's, $9.99 for right angle, $17.99 for angle.

One store was out of stock, and listed at $9.99. The other had three, but was listed at $27.99. The one with three in stock price-matched to $9.99 with no issues.

If you're really desperate someone has a pair of the right angle pliers in the classifieds here for $20.99

The jab saw, black vice grips, and saw someone posted are all back to normal pricing. Seems like my local store is pulling some of the clearance pricing. If you're debating on hitting a deal or not you may want to pull the trigger.

mine with in with the pliers in the tools section, at 2 different stores. Now one was at the very top, like ti wasn't part of the plano, but they were with the pliers. One store I was in, did have them on a clearance table, but that was quite evident in the front of tools

You can't guarantee that the jaws and cutting edge will mate up simultaneously; you have to choose one. Most pliers have a gap at the jaws such that the cutting edges always mate first.

Thank you for explaining that. Like I said, I thought that I might be "special", I realize that.

I already have Cementex (high voltage pro tools) lineman's pliers so I did not think I would need anymore.

On the other hand needle nose intrigued me because of the addition of the wire strippers. We use 14 AWG 4 conductor VFD cable on all the 3 phase motors so those 14 and 16 AWG wire strippers built into the needle nose pliers are actually useful in my line of work.

in the past week I've picked up the NWS/Irwin lineman's and angled needle nose, 4 pair of each I think cost me just over $80. Still waiting for the dikes to come down to a level it's sane to buy 4 of them.

Been finding random SKU's of GRK screws at a few different stores are being marked down. Got some 8x2-1/2 trim heads for $150/100ct the other day.

True linesman pliers (meant for electrical work) will have a slight gap at the end. This is to ensure that you do not squish the wire conductors when twisting wire.
