This is likely the case with all these questionable sites that pop up. I saw another example from the same outfit behind the website being discussed here where the payment went to a personal PayPal and the car seat (price too good to be true) was shipped from someone else's name/Kohl's account.

You are likely buying goods obtained with stolen credit cards or stolen account credentials. If it goes south the scammers walk away with whatever amount has cleared their Paypal accounts and the rest of the orders are left unfilled. They just move onto building their next BigCommerce site while the victims (stolen card owner and person with unfulfilled order) deal with the mess.

Even if it isn’t stolen credit cards, there are a lot of scams going on. Read through this: https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/278622

TLDR: People find items to sell, get an order, and then place an order to the original seller to have it shipped to their customer. Downside is that the original seller has to eat the return fees if there are any problems.

Just a heads up, the free items change depending on what item you select. For example, the $549 Super Hawg kit doesn't let you select the radio, 9.0 battery, 2763 impact, etc.

I didn't notice that, I was looking at the kits. I believe that's the cut off line is $700, the only exception is the 4-Tool Fuel Kit which has the fee items above. Here is the list of free items for below $700:

dont know how good a deal this is:

http://www.cpooutlets.com/factory-r...-4-tool-combo-kit/milr2695-84,default,pd.html

Factory Reconditioned Milwaukee 2695-84 M18 18V Cordless Lithium-Ion 4-Tool Combo Kit

Includes:
M18 18V Cordless 1/2 in. Hammer Drill/Driver - 2602-20
18V Cordless Hackzall Reciprocating Saw - 2625-20
M18 18V Cordless 1/4 in. Hex High Performance Impact Driver - 2650-20
M18 18V Cordless Work Light - 49-24-0171
(2) M18 XC High Capacity Lithium-Ion Batteries - 48-11-1828
Sawzall Blade
Charger - 48-59-1801
Contractor Bag

note none of these are FUEL tools, and they are all "reconditioned".

the list includes a charger, which the image doesnt:

milr2695-84.jpg

does seem like a pretty good deal to get a casual user started (although i dont know how you get all that stuff in that bag).

Hard saying not knowing what they got for sure...

The text description is for all the older stuff 2602 drill the 2650 impact driver and says the light is xenon not LED

But more recent kits have come all the upgrade tools the 2607 drill, 2656 driver and the LED light

Hackzall has not changed over time

Batteries should be 3.0 XC

Recons from CPO have carry the only one year warranty though

I'm thinking that the old stuff should be quite long gone and this may have newer upgrades but one should inquire about that to be sure

Kit with all upgrades is being advertised as new on Ebay for $289 right now

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Milwaukee-M...179539?hash=item33cae29713:g:yYwAAOSw4CFYpNdS

List at CPO new is $349 $10 more ACME

HD has bumped it up $50 it's there right now $399 :D

IMO if you can get new under $300 it's good deal

I'd forget the light, and get this at HD: M18 3-piece kit for $249

2702-20 compact Brushless hammer drill
2750-20 compact Brushless impact
2656-20 hackzall
1 x 2ah battery
1 x 4ah
charger
bag

the batteries are better than I was expecting to see in the details, but the bag is smaller, and you don't get a crappy light

edit: just noticed, they are BRUSHLESS!! Don't even consider that CPO re-con junk (not junk, but ya know)

I will often just search HD for 'M18 free' or M12 free" to see what deals are giving away with a purchase. Seems like you wanted the hackzall part of it, so I searched 'M18 hackzall,' and it resulted with products including that item

CPO Milwaukee has a free tool or battery deal with select kits. Here are the qualified items.

If someone wants to get into Milkwaukee they have a 4-Tool Fuel Kit or 6-Tool Fuel Kit

Both seems like bad deals compared to what you could do at HD (even before possible coupons &/or extra Menards 11% back this week)

$600: Fuel Combo Kit $350 + Fuel Sawzall Kit $250: you get your 9ah battery, 2 chargers (one rapid), but no bag or light.

$1000: Fuel Combo Kit $350 + Fuel Sawzall Kit $250 + Fuel Circular Saw Kit $250 + $150 Grinder: but you have 2x 9ah batteries, 3 chargers (2 rapid), but again no light or 2 bags

I didn't check to see about tax at CPO, but neither seem like a screaming deal to me

Whats the difference?

All Fuel are brushless, but not all brushless are Fuel. Milwaukee released brushless tools without the Fuel branding. I am assuming these are the eventual replacements to the standard brushed tools (or at least somewhere between), but a little less power than the Fuel.

Motor size along with gearing is probably the most obvious difference. The M18 Fuel drill torque rating is more than double that of the compact brushless unit.

Milwaukee also uses the trademarked term Powerstate to define the Fuel's brushless motor advantage compared to other brushless designs.

http://www.cpomilwaukee.com/m18-fuel/m18-fuel,default,pg.html

Basic brushless is simply compared to a brushed motor in runtime...

"Milwaukee's Brushless Motor provides 50% longer runtime compared to brushed drills. Eliminating the brushes reduces energy loss and heat build-up due to mechanical friction and frees up space for more power generating materials resulting in more efficient energy delivery and a more compact tool. "

https://www.milwaukeetool.com/press...ing-solutions-deliver-over-50-longer-run-time

Quite an overall size difference when you do see the different drills next to each other. That's a brushed drill on the right but the compact is even slightly smaller than that one I think.

CPO online

The FUEL will continue to be reserved for the high-performance tools with the “POWERSTATE” brushless motor, as more of their cordless tools move to brushless it would appear they want to differentiate the various motor technology.

There is a chart as well that indicates the Fuels are "the most powerful, most durable," so perhaps better protection on the internals.

The article goes on saying, essentially Milwaukee will need a way to distinguish their high-end brushless models, from a regular brushless unit, as brushed motors are phased out

I was in northern today and saw this deal in the store. I wanted a 2763 1/2" Impact and had been back and forth on buying a kit or bare tool as I have some batteries only. This ended up being a good enough deal to make the decision for me.

http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200656583_200656583?hotline=false

It says backorderd now, so maybe you got the last to ship now, but if you have to wait, I think this is the better option for a 2763 $259 kit @ CPO. someone else posted this above.

I guess it depends on if you think $190 is worth the extra battery ($75 on ebay), the boot ($31), the light ($60), sockets ($60)

I love their lights, but prefer their other models. I already have plenty of sockets. If you already have batteries, do you need 2 more (id say yes, but i'd wait for an eBay coupon or another kit deal).

It does seem like a good package, but if I can individually buy the parts at the same cost, I'd prefer to do that so I can pick & choose what I do/don't need

I just checked the link and it doesn't show backordered for me. I bought in store (they had two in Hampton, va 23666), but it let me add to cart and go all the way to checkout. Dunno

I personally don't buy batteries on eBay/Amazon because I don't trust they're genuine. I did want the extra battery and was going to buy the boot too. It was like getting a free light/sockets in my eyes.

The CPO deal is good, though.

I think it lets you order it, but it says right above view shipping estimates, "Backordered Online — ships in 15 - 29 Business Days." Doesn't matter though, you already picked it up. Time to play with your new toys :willy_nil

I hear ya on the batteries though. One has to make sure the seller has sold them before, good rating, and close accurate picture. With that, Ave on youtube tested a generic, and it actually held up pretty well, aside from not working as well at the temperature extremes like a genuine battery.

question for you guys... i've never owned a brushless drill (i have a 9 year old porter cable brushed drill that is just now wearing out), so to me as a home owner i don't have the need for one, but this kit is pretty good priced. now at Lowe's the other day i was playing with a brushless dewalt and it is MUCH louder than the brushed drill they offer. are the milwaukees the same way? this is the kit:

I cant say for sure about the new brushless compact as I've haven't had opportunity to use one yet, but in general all the Fuel brushless tool motors I have do sound different than any of the brushed versions with a noticeably higher pitch so do seem to be louder. Most times they also have higher max RPM ratings too.

Fuel first, then came brushless

Fuel were/are brushless, but with extra "features" no one ever sees. Then came the brushless only branding, that didn't include the extras.

Just got my Fuel Surge from the FedEx guy minutes ago. This thing definitely has the chooch factor going on. :D

Any deals on the OPE ? Looking at the string trimmer.

I haven't seen any deals on those specifically, just generic sale coupons that are applicable. Currently, I haven't seen anything jump out, as I'd like a 2nd trimmer, possibly another blower. I don't give hoot about >18v OPE if 18v takes care of the job just fine

Yeah as of now the price is just too much. $200 for the trimmer with no battery.
I went ahead and just got a Dewalt 20v trimmer (with 5ah battery) for $180 (currently on sale) at home depot. Although I have a lot of Milwaukee batteries I just don't feel its worth it at the price since the Dewalt trimmer with battery is cheaper than Milwaukee trimmer bare tool.

I'm starting to wonder about my vacuum. I ordered it Monday and still do not have a tracking number for it.

Anybody else still waiting?

I ordered 2. I received 1 on Thursday. It was drop shipped from HD-Direct (Home Depot)

I'm optimistic it was a simple error, giving them the benefit of the doubt at this time, because my order confirmation stated 2@ $69.99 USD - $139.98 USD total. However the paypal receipt stated 1@ $139.98. Looks like a home based store or maybe not the most professional small business.

I sent a reply to my order confirmation email to let them know I'm short 1 and asked they correct it and please send me a tracking number for the second.

I got an automated bounce back from bigcommerce.net that the mail was undeliverable. I followed that last night with an email to the PayPal account email they used. I'll follow up with a call to the number on the website at lunch today (AZ time zone) if I still don't see something back from them.

I doubt you will have any luck calling them as this is their number:
"Call us at +1415 123 4567"

I'm not holding out hope that mine will come. If I do not get a tracking number by Monday I will open a case with Paypal.

I ordered the vacuum early Monday morning, received a tracking number and it was shipped from a Mcdonough, GA Home Depot. Got it yesterday. Worked great on some sawdust and wood chips.

I Looks like a home based store or maybe not the most professional small business.

As noted previously, this is in all likelihood a criminal using stolen credit cards so I would not expect them to be very professional. By purchasing items from that website, individuals are basically assisting them in converting stolen credit cards to cash. They are able to sell the vacuums so cheap due to not having any money in them. Why else would they be drop shipped from Home Depot? I doubt that even a HD employee using their discount would be able to make a profit at that price. I would love to have one of the vacs at that price but refuse to help lowlifes commit crimes.

I wasn't aware of this stolen credit card scheme until after I ordered it, or I would not have participated either. My credit card companies have always been very pro-active in preventing unauthorized charges, and I can't imagine someone being able to use a credit card repeatedly at different home depot locations without alerting the credit card fraud division to alert their customer. Bank of America has even called me about a small convenience store charge in Florida that was fraudulent and immediately cancelled the card and sent me a new one.

Interesting this comes up........I made a couple legit HD purchases on my business debit last week and fraud detection still called me to verify it was me. It just struck me as odd as I've made a great number of HD purchases on this card and never a whimper from fraud detection.

I'm not complaining, they're doing their job I suppose........as I said just thought it strange.
