Nick's Milwaukee triple threat deal...wow!

Last week on CPO during their 20% two day sale, the impact kit w/ free grease gun was $343.**. I would have posted, but it had sold out shortly after I had placed my order. So for $100 more you get the light, which is a great light, but glad I still have my $100 to spend elsewhere. I read it was recently upgraded from 1000 to 1500 lumens, though I can't confirm.

Well for those that may be interested in something like the triple play deal but maybe don't need all the products offered I have noticed on that FB page Nick seems to be quite flexible with tool pricing. Seen a lot of folks ask for a price quote on variations of an offer and he often responds in kind, so never hurts to ask I say, :D

Personally I don't need to buy any of those tools over right now as I have the wrench, light and a 12v grease gun already.

Shoot as for the new light upgrade I'm still waiting on the "free" one I told I was getting by the Milwaukee sales rep after I contacted ACME CS about the new handle so the 9.0 will fit.

I have like 5 emails from over a month ago and just sent an recent inquiry last week about it that came back with the response it will be sent. We will see. I really would like to make the lumen comparison

I'm still waiting for my boot from Nick for the mid torque that he said he had in stock but didn't!

I was told by the owner of a reputable milwaukee service center about 2 weeks ago that they would be available for order from Milwaukee anytime in next few weeks. No definite date but it would be 1 week or so after that they would arrive. I have a standing order for one and he orders weekly from Milwaukee.

No boot for me so far or an eta on arrival, so I will assume Nick doesn't have any on hand yet unless he got a demo boot. He seems to be a pretty a straight up guy but some of the conversations over messenger with him were a little off for me. I was trying to get pricing on an m18 6.0 battery, if he could beat my local supplier by saving tax. It is for a tool I only have room for xc batteries where I use them and hd9.0 is too bulky. Even gave him part # and he kept arguing about no 6.0, only 5.0 or 9.0...... not sure if he meant he only stocks those or that he was saying milwaukee doesn't make them, but I gave up on that battle. Hate the idea of paying almost twice as much for a 6.0 as a 5.0, so I guess I will keep getting 5.0's for a while.

I first bought the string trimmer/hedge trimmer deal from him and it was no problem at all and I was more then pleased. So I asked him if he had the mid torque impact and boot "in stock" (which he said yes!) so I then asked for a price. $180 for the impact and $30 for the boot. I pulled the trigger and sent him the $$

I then get a tracking number and it says it's coming from WI instead of NJ like the trimmers (he is in NJ just like I am). So I know it's being dropped shipped. I get the package and the boot is the one for the high torque not the mid torque that I ordered.

I contacted him and he sent me a return label for the wrong boot and told me his wife ordered it and saw 1/2 gun but I really need the one for a 3/8 gun........ I then told him that was incorrect and the mid torque boot was specific to that gun and that's why I asked if he had it in stock. I gave him the correct part number and the following day he responded with "first week in may"

Two weeks go by and I message him asking if he knew if the boot shipped (it was the end of the first week of may) he said that he would check. That was Thursday last week and I didn't hear anything back from him. So Tuesday (yesterday) I messaged him again asking if it was on the way because I called Milwaukee and they had them in stock now. His response was "have you sent my back yet" so I responded that I sent it back weeks ago (day after I got the call tag). So he said "let me see if it's available to me" i said great and gave him the part number again. And again it's been 24 hours and no response. I messaged one last time yesterday that if it wasn't available to him I would order it myself and he could refund me but he never answered back.

I messaged him about an hour ago asking if he found amour anything but so far no answer.

What should I do????

Reminds me of NTX. Everything goes fine if the warehouse they are drop shipping from has it in stock... if not, the service isn't there.

Unfortunately, I think you need to keep harassing him. I think he's an honest enough person, just not quite prepared for online sales of backordered/non-stock items.

Sounds like my luck with NTX also.....

I agree though on the not prepared. I think he bites off more than he can chew with the online stuff.

Hmmm didn't know milwaukee had in stock already but that fits what my local guy told me. Will call him tomorrow and check on mine.

My string trimmer blower combo drop shipped from Georgia. But I am in Florida.

Any reviews of the string trimmer or blower that milwaukee has put out? Want to pull the trigger but not sure on cordless

Ok, I went back to page 18, and I found guys talking about comparing it to the their gas string trimmers, when and if they ever tried their Milwaukee one. But haven't seen anyone comment on actual use of the m18 trimmer or blower....just I'll maybe try it this weekend. Just trying to see if I should get in on this deal or not. I'm skeptical of the cordless idea, but like the idea.

anyone purchase the deal from ACME on the m12 fuel tools where you get the free m12 6.0 battery? I got the m12 fuel 3/8 impact and m12 fuel sawzall but didn't get the batteries with the shipment. I sent them a message asking where the batteries were and they said that they have no control over the batteries because they are a promotion from milwaukee and when they get the batteries from milwaukee they would be shipped. No time frame though.

check the Facebook Page. Nick had the same deal, but you got a free M12 flood light as well. may still be going on.

nevermind, re-read, and you already bought. I am curious, what year was your 3/8 made? you can tell by the serial #. The last 4 digits represent the year & week it was made. Mine was drop shipped from Milwaukee last week, and was made in later 2015. Not a big deal, but that is a decent amount of time to be sitting on the shelf. Now I have to make sure to keep that receipt around, just in case of warranty purposes.

I did through ToolUp and the 6.0 came with the shipment. Milwaukee seems to be having a problem keeping the 6.0s and 3.0s in stock in this country. Been like that ever since they were released. I just don't understand why you'd run a fairly large promo w a product where you have issues with supply.

Anyway I'm sure you'll get your battery, might just be a couple weeks.

Interesting about the serial number vs the purchase date most of my Milwaukee tools manufacture code has been fairly recent to when I bought them if I'm reading that correctly.

I purchased a 2454-22 late last Spring my Acme online receipt shows 6/5/2016
the 4 numbers on the tool are 1603 but on the other hand I when I picked up a 2797-22 Fuel gen 1 combo with flashlight and free 4.0 battery on a promo just before Gen 2 was released that pkg had been around so long the free t-shirt promo card was expired

As for free battery promos with the tool purchases I often have had the battery shipped at later date not being readily in stock when the main part of the order was filled. They always came though and in reasonable time for me anyways

The only issue I ever had with batteries was when Home Depot sent a 2401 for what was to be 2.0 promo and never did honor it responding to my CS inquiry with that there where none and could return the entire purchase if I wasn't satisfied. I emailed Milwaukee direct with my complaint and had a new 2.0 at my door a couple of days later.

so, i noticed that HD has the 6.0 battery offer in store also (not sure about online, since i dont understand how to use their search function).

i know that CPO is offering the buy two (specified) M18 bare tools and get a large bag and either two 5ah batteries or a 9ah starter kit.

who else is offering either deal? what other deals are out there right now?

I saw that but the 3/8 impact is $220. I had a 10% off coupon from ACME so $200-20=$180 from acme. I have enough lights so the extra $40 bucks wasn';t worth it for the "free" light.

last 4 of my serial number is 1637, so mid-late 2016 right?

I got my kit to sell for 10-20% below retail & keep the battery & light for $40 total or so. which i is a steal, if the tool is easily unloaded

correct on the serial.

I think you meant 9ah. I still have not seen a 6.0 battery in the real world yet. Would love to start swapping my 5's to 6's soon.

Tick Tracker is also $10 at several retailers for this week. HD & Acme are the two that first pop to my mind. HUge savings even over the multi-packs. I hope as many people as possible buy these, as it will only help when searching for lost tools, or at least install the app!

at my hd, this display is across from the display that has the circular saw or the sawzall and the 9am kit for 249$. if you wanted both of those tools, i can't imaging buying the new deal, when the old one seems like a much better deal.
Yeah it's funny looking at that promo since the sawzall is actually $179 in their website. So they increase the prices to give you a "free" battery?

With this promo I was wondering what the discount per tool would be if you got the sawzall, 9.0 battery, then the 9.0 kit, and returned both the batteries. Can't remember if it splits the discount up evenly between all of them for max refund value.

IT will take the cost of the 'free' item off the total, pro-rated among all items. So no item will be free. ~$66 off each item, if every item purchased was $200.

yep. some stores have moved them to clearance areas, though still $250. i don't think you will be seeing more of those, but Ialso didn't think we'd see them after the holiday promo with them.

How is the old deal better? The new one is 50$ less??

Well if you wanted both the circular saw and sawzall, under the old deal, you could buy both with 9.0 starter kits for $498. Using this "new" deal you get the saws plus a single 9.0 starter kit for $428.

Doing the return of the unwanted piece of your kit will still not result in a better deal than $249 for the kit. Admittedly, i didn't do the math...

for 498$, you would get the sawzall, the circular saw, *two* 9AH batteries, and *two* rapid chargers.

for 429$, you would get the sawzall, the circular saw, *one* 9AH battery, and *one* rapid charger.

i think that the 9AH battery is worth more than the 69$ extra, and then there is the additional rapid charger.

and, it is a better deal because i can get either of those tools, and the 9AH battery and rapid charger for either 51$ (for the sawzall) or 21$ (for the circular saw) above the cost of the bare tool without having to buy an additional tool to get the 9AH battery and charger for "free".

anyway, that is how i see it.

so, i bought a 2520-20 hackzall from acme, 139$.

i got a free 6AH battery, as part of a milwaukee special offer.

acme is offering a 20$ off purchases above 100$. this applied to the offer, which brought the price down to 119 something.

after shipping, i am out the door for 125.45$ after shipping, for a 2520 fuel hackzall and a 6AH battery.
