I've been looking for the best deal on the impact/hammer drill combo. This is on CPO, anyone think this is probably the best deal I can get considering it's the new surge?

That's honestly a great deal. I'm shocked you can get both the impact and extra 5.0. If you need any of those i would be all over that kit.

I'm shocked too! I was hoping maybe someone here had seen it and possibly bought it already. I'll probably pull the trigger on it soon.

The other kits I have been looking at is the 2897-22 from home depot with 2 extra batteries for $370 or the 2897-22cx with an extra 5.0 for $300. But the second option is sold out online and not sold in stores. Which leaves the 2897-22cx (without an extra battery) at $300 the best deal I could find in the store.

I definitely want a drill/impact combo and getting a hammer drill and the newest impact driver would be great for only $30 more than home depot's offering. Now I am busy researching the surge driver and if it has any points I don't like since it is hydraulic vs. regular anvil impact.

The 2760-22 Surge kit with free hammer drill and xtra 5.0 battery is a wicked crazy deal considering the 2899-22 kit is like $429 reg price, And what's the difference really besides the oversized storage case!

I do see the 2797-22 with the 2 xtra 3.0 XC batteries $369 as a ship to store option if you order online from HD

ACME has the 2797-22 with one 5.0 for the same $369 price as does CPO
I had no luck duplicating the CX deal anywhere though

The only going i read about the surge is that it might not be able to drive large lags like the standard but it is way quieter. If you were in the detroit area I'd trade you a brand new fuel impact for the surge[emoji1] I've got an extra lying around and don't really have time for eBay

That's about the only thing I have seen negative, but it makes sense with sustained torque vs. maximum torque. For my needs, I think the surge would be great! But if I was closer to you I would definitely try both and possibly trade!

This will be my first Milwaukee purchase other than smaller hand tools and a knife, but I do want a 1/2" impact wrench and the M12 ratchet after I acquire this kit. Getting 3 5.0's will definitely be helpful so I can pick up a bare tool for the impact wrench and then eventually get the ratchet.

Well the underhoodlight package is back up on Nick's FB page for $199 again today but the deal on the light with 6.0 is gone. Originally said had only 15 to sell.

So best I see this is the same as -21 XC kit that ACME is taking preorders on for $249 and at the cost of the bare tool alone.

The surge is pretty impressive. I was skeptical but when I first used it I wasn't sure it was even working as I could barely hear it impacting. Def. smoother.

I found the -22CT kit at HD for $125 so it was kind of a no brainer. Quite a bit smaller than the 2753 as well.

Thanks for the insight! Glad to hear good reviews of it. How did you score the -22ct kit for $125?

HD clearance item that I found in the racks. Only the 2.0 batteries but I'll sell those and the charger off and have the tool only for maybe $50 after that. I have plenty of 4.0s and a few 2.0s already.

That's awesome! I see online the regular price is $200 for that kit, so you got a really good deal. How much would you sell the 2.0's for? I might be interested in one if I buy the kit just to have a smaller battery for occasional use.

Saw this deal at Home Depot. The kit comes with an extra 9ah battery.

The 6.0 kits he had advertised were a mistake and actually shipped with 4.0 batteries. I noticed the comments for the repost. Curious if he made it right or what but most likely not since he advertised the full milwaukee part number that shows only the 4.0. I debated on getting it when shown with a 6.0 but decided to pass.

In other news, everyone following the release show? M18 Fuel hackzall, 1400ft/lb 3/4" impact wrench, new m12 fuel ratchets, 9000 lumen site light, etc goodies. Lot of one key stuff. M12 soldering iron and m18 heat gun look good.

Ya I seen that comment posted too that they were all 4.0. Did seem to good to be true!

Any picture link of the soldering tool?

He probably did not make it right.

I had a mildly bad experience with him also. I ordered a specific model, including the full Milwaukee part number for the tool. He gave me a price. I sent the money. He shipped a different model, a much older model but still current manufacture. He argued about the error even though I gave him the specific model number to price quote, and acted like he had no idea how that could happen. Goes back to what my momma said, if it's good good to be true, it probably isn't true.

Right, but comes up $249 for me. There was mention of $199 for the kit

Sorry about that IGN

Ya ACME is full retail still

Maybe I wasn't clear in what I had posted

And its the FB guy that has the kit for $199

I personally haven't purchased anything from him yet but you paypal him the money and just tell him what you want

Interesting how Nick can cut $50 off and I believe doesn't charge for shipping either

If you do want to buy from ACME maybe hold on for a percentage off sale, But would need 20% off to match that other price though :dunno:

yeah, but he doesnt maintain stock, or people to answer your questions, or things like that.

i haven't dealt with nick, and i am sure he is a nice guy, but when things are tight, i bet his allotment is smaller than ACME or one of the other big retailers get. i bet it is also easier to deal with ACME, since errors in the order are not the fault of the individual you are dealing with, and it doesnt personally cost them anything to cut you some slack.

dealing with "low overhead" sales channels is a way to save money, but often costs more in other costs, like time. ACME has a web site that is pretty easy to use. nick posts on faceplant, er, Facebook, and i find it hard to figure out what is going on.

I ordered the 5 3/8 M12 saw with free 6.0 from Acme 5/29, still have yet to get shipping notice and both show in stock. Still waiting on a response to my email to them this AM...

Ordered the mid torque boot from Nick and got it 3 days later....he is poor in fancy website/store front, but once the PayPal goes through with the details the stuff gets shipped. Mine was a $30 boot for the mid torque, not so sure I'd be as comfortable for stuff more expensive though....:eyecrazy:

Just my experiences....

Nick shipped my trimmer/blower combo together the Monday after i orders it (which was Saturday night). I was worried at first but had them in my hands by Wednesday.

When the underhood light gets down to $100 for the bare tool, I am buying one.

The miter saws are all full price in Wisconsin for now. I'll keep an eye out. I could really use another.

Did the 6.0 ship? I still have 2 on backorder from a special deal I got.

i ordered a fuel hackzall on 15may, which i recall being after you mentioned that you had not gotten your batteries. the hackzall was on a deal that included a 6AH M12 battery. it took about a week for the hackzall to return to stock, but they shipped both the tool and the battery together sometime around the 21st.
