Who cares about the return. This is not the Milwaukee Deals Morality thread. That's one down. Move on everyone.

Kinda bummed I missed the 0882 vac w free 4.0 for $89 at Acme yesterday

I want this vac too.. how did you miss the deal ? or even know about it ? I check this thread everyday.. maybe I overlooked it due to too many "buy and get refunded" posts.

Is this honest?

not in the least. Had he returned it with his receipt, it would be fine, but they chose to do it without the receipt & get store credit.

That is all tracked, and I can just all but guarantee they won't be able to do it again. HD uses a 3rd party company to track purchases/returns, and is also tied to other retailers. He also ended up with store credit, which now required an ID to use. On top of that, if something needs to be returned that was purchased with store credit, that will also require an ID to return.

Signing up for an ACME email direct to YOU would be the best way to stay on top of promos like that.

These were mostly one day limited time sale offers leading in to Father's Day.

I even missed a few deals being so busy I didn't even open my own emails from them until it was to late. :lol_hitti

I'm just gonna chill on the mid-torque. We've seen this a million times with new releases, just wait and soon supply will increase and prices will drop, esp secondary market like eBay

Dont want to beat this to death...it was intentionally dishonest in my opinion Taking advantage of the retailer, and giving the consumer a bad name. Boasting about it too, that's in poor taste.
Sorry I know this isn't a morality thread, not should it be a "brag about cheating" end "screw your fellow tool lovers" thread either.

Only interested in the bare tool which is out...

I didn't even notice what he ordered was the -22 kit. I'm tempted to order 2 in order to get the batteries and bag. Would you like to buy one of the bare tools if I order?

note that the BAREKIT1 (two 5AH batteries and a bag) is backordered, and has been since June 8th, which is when (i believe) the offer first appeared. it said 7 to 10 days, and today is the 10th day, so i have help that the order will ship tomorrow.

Went in Depot and picked up the $99 M12 Brushed Drill & Impact kit that came with the free 6.0 battery. It's not listed as being that way anywhere in the store, but it rang up that way. I didn't really need it since I have the Fuel impact, but I figured I'd just leave that drill and driver in the house...

Questioned a Milwaukee rep on why the deal IN STORE is not on the website... Was explained there are TWO Milwaukee entities... offering TWO sets of deals... sometimes they overlap... sometimes not. So deals you see online may not be directly available in store... and in store deals may be diff from online.

At least he confirmed why there are sometimes differences.

Yeah, that's kinda weird, but does make sense...

It didn't show the deal anywhere in the store, but it rang up and the battery was free.

It is on the website, but just sold out. Every deal in store I have seen online, maybe sold out, but it was available at one point. The reverse is not always true, though I've never had a store not try to accommodate if possible.

Is this the same rep that told people the M18 string trimmer would get attachments at the NPS17? I've met enough (retail) reps to know they don't know nearly as much as one would think they would or should.

It is advertised in store, at least the 3 I was in. There is a large banner that lists all the kits that qualify. The 2494-22 is on the bottom right. Maybe you were in a smaller store that doesn't have enough space for that kind of thing.

I pulled the trigger today on buying 2 mid torque wrenches and getting the barekit1 for free. Also did say 7-10 days out.. I hope it doesn't take any more than 10 days.

I'd like to know if your order ships tomorrow or if they give you some kind of update.

You might not have noticed... it was a dead deal online... you couldn't order it for delivery or store pickup... The set was available WITHOUT the battery online.

In Store however the deal was fully active and valid. It wasn't the store being "helpful" or "nice"... there really was a valid deal available IN STORE only.

It's not a conspiracy theory thing... it's real... there are two different entities ... online and in store.

Another example... the Hacksall Fuel with free battery... was basically online only... and was even advertised as (there might be limited quantities available "IN STORE") but essentially it was only an online deal.

I bought it online w/ free battery. other did too. I know online & in-store are 2 different things, Best Buy & Sears are the same way, but hte Milwaukee promotions are the same.

For those of you who have done the BAREKIT1 thing........does it show up in your cart? I put in a mid impact and a hammer drill. I enter the BAREKIT1 promo code, and it neither gives me an error, nor acknowledges that it actually added it.

well, it showed up in my cart after i added the code. maybe the hammer drill is not one of the options for that promo. i *know* the mid torque is, cause that is what i bought.

FYI: Acme tools now telling buyers they will not ship the string trimmer hedge / clipper combo at least until the end of August.

FWIW, mine shipped separately and the hedge trimmer took 3 weeks longer even thought they had trimmers in stock, just not the "promo' trimmer whatever that means. :willy_nil

Acme refused to ship the hedge clipper without the trimmer. It's a very good deal, but they should be telling customers up front there is at least a two month delay; buyers shouldn't have to wait to find that out until after they have ordered it. Acme was very responsive and quickly cancelled my order and I would not hesitate to order from them again.

Looks like Amazon is making space for the new M12 Fuel 3/8" impact ! New pricing.

Capture.JPG

There is no new Fuel 3/8" wrench... yet. fuel Ratchet line, fuel impact driver & h drill, yes. Towards the end of the 12v portion on this ToolGuyd writeup, it is mentioned that nothing was announced about the Fuel wrenches.

I wouldn't go by Amazon anyway. They aren't an authorized dealer, not that any of your actual buying sources is Amazon. That $140ish price has been that way since March on there too.
