2 5.0 batts or 1 9.0.... decisions

Local guy by me sells 9ah for $100, and 5.0 for $80. I'm sure you have more batteries, but if those were all you had, I would go with 2 5's. The only thing I don't mind the 9's on are the outdoor equipment, stationary lights, or circular or sawzall if it isn't going to be used for a long time.

You get more total amp hours, and IF something happened to a battery & needed service, you would still have one to use.

the battery issue is for all those tool batteries, it is just that the higher the AH rating, the more of an issue it is.

if you get nasty chemicals inside any of your tool batteries, dont use them, dont charge them, until someone who understands the issues tells you it is alright.

hell, if you get that stuff inside the tool itself, same thing . . . .

I got a memo you should look both ways before crossing the street and another which said I should no longer use my toaster on the edge of the tub while taking a bath.

Who knew? I like eating toast whilst bathing.....damnit.

I have been trying to find the mid torque everywhere with no luck. Found that CPO tool has it on their ebay store, but not the website. 8 left in stock, I just grabbed one.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Milwaukee-M...2555641988?hash=item41c9a0f084:i:282555641988

it is almost like CPO runs 3 (well, N) different inventories. one for cpooutlets.com, one for cpo@ebay, and one for cpomilwaukee.com (and i assume the other brands, hence the N). i see things on one but not the others all the time.

i wonder if they have three accounts with milwaukee, and that is the reason . . . like HD has two accounts (stores and online). although in that instance, milwaukee might segregate things into two channels, local and online. . . . . . which would leave cop with one, since they are all online. . . . . .

all ONE warehouse/inventory

CPO uses the same inventory, at least for their website & ebay (all my Milwaukee tools were ordered off CPO, so doubt CPOMilwaukee is any different, plus that would be so inefficient for inventory). I ordered off something on eBay & needed an invoice, & CPO sent it as a regular CPO order, with no mention of ebay.

I've ran into the problem a few times. Sometimes they will sell out on their site, but ebay doesn't get updated until hours/day later, but lets you order at first. I've ordered on ebay for better pricing, then the inventory drops on their website.

It could be that the different systems they use do not have a way to link up their inventories. I know when I sold on Amazon, their system had no way to integrate into our Quick Books, and for that matter, neither did either one of the website hosts we used. One would think that kind of stuff would be pretty standard, but it surprising how much it isn't.

it also might be that they maintain stock in different "accounts". i knew someone who worked at a store with a big internet portal. they maintained different "stocks" of items to keep the retail people from taking things that were listed on the web site. the store person had to log in on one of their computers and "buy" it to get it out of the warehouse to give to someone in the store. that way, no one could order it online but have the store person sell it out from underneath them.

that makes a ton of sense. While talking with a representative, it didn't seem like their system was that sophisticated, and more a matter of delays in one system reporting to another. You will sometimes find it saying there is 1 left in stock, but when you get to checkout, it will say sold out. Again, another delay thing.

I'm a little surprised CPO also can't have things drop shipped from Milwaukee when they get backordered. Smaller dealers ship most of their stuff directly from Milwaukee (Facebook guy Joe).

I decided to clean and lube my M12 3/8 ratchet today. Of course nothing is simple, and one of the four pins that are in the anvil went flying never to be seen again.

I've already shot an email to Milwaukee, but does anyone have a recommendation for sourcing a replacement?

ereplacementparts.com does not have them. They sell the whole anvil but it's backordered and I'd prefer avoid that route due to cost if possible. I've already emailed Milwaukee and will likely call today as well.

$229, normally $399 for the 2741-21 Finish Nailer Kit at Home Depot

Today only

Excellent deal....$50 less than less than my 2742 16 ga. angle nailer was at HD earlier this year.

They have been moving some inventory on these now I bet.

If this is the type of tool someone feels they can use it is definitely worth grabbing one at that price.

Milwaukee quality/warranty

AND it's actually less than what the cheap Ryobi is going for right now.

Just look it up! :D

certain Ryobi models are better than Milwaukee. I don't have time at the moment to look which ones, but I would pick up the Ryobi before the Milwaukee depending on model. Less kick-back & didn't lock you out due to over-use. I have both batteries, so that isn't an issue for choice. Would love to kick the air-compressor, but still several other tools to replace before air & cord free.

I will buy Milwaukee anytime I can over Ryobi mind you. But sometimes... Last week I bought the new Ryobi LED spotlight to see if it was close to the 2800 lumens & 700 yards it claimed. I already have the Milwauee M12 flood, and think that is amazing, or thought now. The Ryobi spanks it at $20 less (or more for us dutch), plus it has hybrid power so you can plug into 12v cig lighter, so don't have buy batteries immediately. the new AMAZING. I'm glad I didn't buy the M18 search light. So now the spotlight it for sale, as well as the Milwaukee stand light.

I have both the Ryobi and the M18 searchlight. The M18 searchlight is far superior to the Ryobi. Much warmer, truer colors and it can do spotlight, floodlight, or combo mode. I like the Ryobi light too but I would pay more to get the M18 searchlight.
Also you are comparing your 18v Ryobi spotlight to an M12 Led Floodlight so its not apples vs apples. They are for different purposes.

Is anyone even seeing anything? The email didn't have clickable links but it was supposed to start 9am CST which seems to me it is and then some.

So far I'm underwhelmed
