The hammer version is an option too. They have free 2 day shipping that ends today, and the CPO days extra $$ off ends Thursday. The price jumped up by $20 when they offered the free 2 day shipping, so perhaps the price will go back down tomorrow?

HD has a similar deal...says online only but I saw this deal in store last week.

199 with 25 off and freebie is a good deal. It all depends on the freebie, I will pay $160-175 with under $80 retail freebie and $175-190 with $100 freebie. The non Fuel M12 kit I wont get unless its $100 or less with freebie, once got it for $90 with 2 freebies!.

I think the M12 fuel drill/impact combo kit with 2 batteries and free tool for $199 is an even better deal. CPO also had an extra $25 off of the $199, but they bumped up their price to $219 today so it's $195 with free tool via cpo. The M12 3/8 ratchet would be super handy.

However the master deal hunter quickly pointed out my last "deal" I spotted wasn't that outstanding lol... What say you @Dacan23 about this deal?

Good to hear, thanks.

I did swing in my HD this morning for this deal...picked up the M12 fuel combo kit with free M12 3/8 ratchet for $180 (after the 10%) discount. The Milwaukee reps also gave me a free tool bag and free t-shirt

So I think I might return the M18 brushless kit that I ordered from CPO (esp since the torque is pretty similar between the M12 fuel and M18 brushless drills/impacts) and wait for a better deal on a M18 Fuel kit w/ free tool.

Theres some M12 Fuel deals out there for the Hackzall and circular saw that are offering free tools also. I started with the M18 line then added the M12 line after. If I could do it again, I think I would just stick to the M12 for most of my stuff since they seem to be the ones I reach for the most often.

And the price is back down to $199. After discount, it is $175, + a free tool. Not too shabby imo.

I got a chance to use my new M12 fuel drill and impact last night...very impressed! I'll post soon over in the Milwaukee addiction thread, but long story short, I think I'll be holding off on a M18 kit.

Thanks, just bought this for the free tool. My M12 FUEL kit is great. Sold all my Ridgid 18V stuff after I got it.

For everyone picking up the Fuel kit, the new models are supposed to arrive next month. I sold my Gen1 kit over the last couple months before the prices drop more on the 2nd hand market.

so, does anyone have a grip on what is being replaced with what?

M12 FUEL 2999 Comb over Comb being replaced with FUEL 3999 M12 Comb over Comb with hair de-greyer.

something like that . . . .

do i recall correctly that the 2454 M12 3/8 impact is bing replaced, as an example?

There was no announcement of the impact wrenches being updated. Only the 1/4" impact & hammer drill were displayed at Milwaukee's New Product Show in July. Both shorter & more powerful.

info here

More of a heads up to those who like the latest & greatest, or hate buying something one month to see the new model the next month. I can't find any model #'s for the new units yet

Yea, you're killing me!

It's all good though. I need to keep reminding myself that I'm purely a home DIY'er and I don't actually need the latest and greatest of everything lol.

Current Milwaukee rebates. Some rebates aren't available from all retailers, so check the distributor list for each.

The only one that jumps out for me is the Sawzall blade rebate. It has HomeDepot.com as a distributor, and they usually have some markdowns on sawzall blade sets this time of year (at least BF).

I think that's missing several hundred distributors in the list. I would e-mail them and check if you see something you want and HD isn't on the list.

Fleet Farm is advertising the free battery or hat with a M12 heated purchase B&M, but they're not in the list and they have several dozen stores.

They aren't missing. That is how they do it. They sell at different price points depending on to a big box store, or to say Grainger (who seems to charge more than retail) or trade specific shop, which allows them to do the rebates. Margins are smaller at HD, and you often won't see them on the list.

Sometimes the rebates are the exact same as an offer HD has but already has it as a bundle.

I think you may have missed the point. Fleet Farm as well as many other brick and mortar stores are running that same deal, but do not appear in the list on Milwaukee's site. HD may very well not be... I'm just saying it may be worth checking.

I realize that many deals purposely do not apply to every retailer. Fleet Farm otherwise has a bunch of lame free 5.0 promos at otherwise full price (though with 10% cash back) versus what HD's all running right now with free Fuel tools and such.

Yeah I tried submitting a rebate for something where the only authorized distributor was MSC. I hadn’t purchased thru MSC but figured WTH. I wasn’t shocked when after many months I received nothing and heard nothing. I guess I was at least hoping for a formal denial but then again I suppose they’re not obligated to take the time.

Not complaining, I was trying to bend the rules. It didn’t work LOL

The difference for a lot of the distributors is based on how the rebate is handled. Some like HD, will give you the tool as part of their package. Others, like some of the tool distributors, you will need to mail in the rebate. Usually the distributors/retailers that require you to mail in to Milwaukee for the promotions will be listed. Those like HD that give you the tool as part of the package will not be listed as they are dealing with Milwaukee on the back end. Whichever way you slice it, for most major retailers, you will end up with the same rebate, it's just a matter of whether the retailer fulfills it or you need to mail to Milwaukee. I have tested this theory, and at least for me, there was no double dipping.

Has anyone done the 299 combo deal with the circular saw freebie? If so what does the circular saw come out to be? I’m assuming you can return the combo like last year correct?

In case nobody answers you with a definite, I am pretty sure if you put it in your cart on the website it will tell you.

From home depot... 2897-22CX comes with 1x 5.0 and 1x 2.0 battery. I know these were sold for a promo within the last year with a free bare tool. This was the last one on clearance as the new kit which comes with 2x 5.0 batteries was on the shelves for $399. Mine cost $204 out the door (10% discount and tax included). I think it's a good deal, maybe not smoking but I'll try and refrain from opening for the next month just to see if something else comes up better and I can return this one. So, how did I do?

I'd say you did pretty good. Either keep, or I'll take it off your hands. Yes 5s are nice, but i prefer 2ah batteries for my impacts. I have no reason I need to lug around the extra weight. Hammer drill is a another story.

Is there a good way to get into the Milwaukee system without starting with a drill and impact driver set? I've got a nice Makita set for those two tools which I'll replace some day but I definitely don't want to start there.

What I really need/want right now is a 3/8 ratchet and impact wrench setup. A 1/2" impact wrench would be OK but I don't mind using my air impact so it isn't a high priority for me.

The ratchet's gonna have to be M12, but a 1/2" impact would have to be M18.

Anyway, you can get the old brushed 3/8" ratchet kit, 2457-21 at HD.com for $149, the new Fuel 3/8" ratchet kit 2557-22 for $229

.........but I might consider the M12 Fuel Hackzall kit with a "free" 3/8" brushed ratchet at $169.00. The Fuel Hackzall is pretty damn cool

You get one XC 4.0 battery with above.

i made an impact set off ebay buying the bare tool, two batteries, and a new model "fast" charger from different sellers. i believe most of it was people selling stuff stripped from kits. it was more work than just buying a -22 kit from somewhere, but i got exactly what i wanted for substantially less. i didnt get a case, but i didnt care (although they were also for sale, if i were interested)

Makita already has an excellent 1/2" impact for the 18V Lxt platform. It is Model # xwt08z. Awesome powerful gun. Makita 3/8 impact wrench is good too.

As far as the ratchet you can buy the milwaukee as the set with batteries(m12) or buy it as a bare tool and find batteries locally on craigslist.

Thanks everybody. That Hackzall deal is interesting. I've got a big Dewalt corded sawzall that I use pretty often. It's kind of a beast though. That Milwaukee would have been nice just a few days ago when I was under my project truck cutting the exhaust to pull out the old V6. I ruined one blade and bent the tip of another one from not being able to get that saw in there at a good angle.

Added item to cart and only gives you the full 399 price. Does not break down the items individual
When you buy these deals in store, it breaks down the pricing on the receipt. There is a formula somewhere in this thread, but I believe the return value of the bare tool is something like 60% of the original value. The same is true if you want to keep the bare tool but return the kit.

Item A - Item that the package is centered around (usually the same as package price)
Item B - Free Item 1
Item C - Free Item 2

Prices after bundling in-store:

A = A * (A / (A+B+C))
B = B * (A / (A+B+C))
C = C * (A / (A+B+C))

ex: Free Ryobi Tool w/ Ryobi Brushless Hammer Kit @ $150 ($149)

$50 'free' item: kit will cost $112.50, free item will be $37.50
$100 'free' item: kit will cost $90, free item will be $60

If you just want the main item, buy the most expensive 'free' item. If you have a coupon/discount of some sort, try to have them apply it only to the MAIN item, not the whole purchase. The package may not even work if they do it as a group/package discount, or if it does, it will only deduct the discounted price of the 'free' item (though if you are keeping both item, it won't change the total, just the individual item's price).

I'm surprised no one has posted this yet but for Thanksgiving Day only Acme is doing the M18 "Rover Floodlight" (I believe is the correct terminology but there's also an M18 "Rover" which is different - does not get the swivel head) for $99.

Model is 2360-20

Their regular price is $129 and they offer $30 off in the cart. Seems to be hovering right at $150 all over ebay.

Says limit one per account
https://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/milwaukee-m18-trueview-led-flood-light-2360-20

I do not believe you can combine the MILW2017

Looks like you can sort of combine it. It won't work on the light by itself, but will if you put another $120 in Milwaukee stuff in the cart. The benefit here being you get free shipping then. Great way to take advantage of both offers to their fullest

edit: extra $120 -pre $20 coupon, not $100. thanks IGN

Yes & that’s exactly what I did. But for free shipping you basically gotta spend $220 ‘cause free shipping is dependent upon total after all discounts.

I ordered the light, M12 grease gun and the new M12 USB charger :D
