Yeah nyy, $50 each is a darn good price. It's like an extra battery for 4 different tools, or something like that.
What I don't like is the Fuel sawzall case I have doesnt fit the 9ah battery, so it'll get the 5ah's. For now its on my 2753 impact inside the 2897 case. oh well.

Same thing if you bought your Gen2 Fuel Impact/Drill Kit early enough. Last year at HD, I noticed 2 different sized cases but same model. Finally figured out it was to fit 9s in. I was about to snag a hard case for my One-Key sawzall, but found out it only held XC batteries. Seeing as I use the 9ah with the sawzall most of the time, it didn't make a lot of sense to get.

I'd rather own the Milwaukee, but from a cost & reviews perspective, I'd probably end up with the Ryobi.

I know some models of Ryobi are more user friendly than the Milwaukee equivalents. Mainly lower kick back & doesn't lock up when it gets warm.

I’d like to see a deal on the compact 3.0 M12 batteries.

I was just thinking this too. I like the compact size with the same capacity as the original XC's. Great for keeping the M12 tools light while working on roofs, etc and don't wanna drop out of my Milwaukee holster

Well I can get the Milwaukee angled finish kit for $199, same price as Ryobi bare tool. I own the Ryobi Brad nailer, works surprisingly well. The Milwaukee "should" be a better tool, but not sure.

The 2743 angled 16 ga is solid, no experience with the rest of the line though. $200 is a competitive price.

Thanks, so now do I want to add a 3rd battery brand to my mix?? I have Makita for my impact driver, drill, saw and sawzall, and Ryobi for my hedge trimmer, and newly acquired Brad nailer....ugh, decisions, decisions:dunno:

I ordered the 15ga angle finish nailer instead of the 16ga one because it seemed like there was a better nail selection.

That's the one I am looking at. Seems like a steal for $199 with battery and charger. I'm not a contracter, just very handy, and will only use it a few times a year. Ryobi has better reviews though.

I have the Ryobi brad nailer. It's awesome. Biggest difference is that whereas the Milwaukee has 0 delay, the Ryobi has very very short delay between trigger press and firing. It's never bothered me. In the Roybi's favor, it never overheats and will go all day ... the Milwaukees have overheating problems. Also Ryobi batteries cost less than 1/2 as much if you get them on sale. On this particular tool, given the Ryobi and Milwaukee at the same cost, I'd probably get the Ryobi.

I've recently been looking into this as well. Milwaukee's did not hit it out of the park with their M18 nailers as they did with a lot of their other cordless tools.

If you are looking at the 18ga brad nailers, I do think the Ryobi is the way to go. Smaller, much less expensive and works just as well but if we are talking 15/16ga finish nailers, they are much closer performance wise with a slight advantage to the Milwaukee as they have no wait time after pulling the trigger, The big difference is the price but if you can get the Milwaukee 15ga kit for $199, i'd probably get that one.

As for 15 vs 16 ga... That's a big debate with no "right" answer. Mostly depends on what you want to use it for and what is easier to find locally nail wise? Hanging doors and such, I would get the 15ga. If you just want it for trim, the 16ga is better as it leaves a smaller hole but the 15ga has more holding power. I've been using a 15ga for years and have been happy with the results.

I may pick up the Ryobi brad nailer but will wait for Milwaukee to come out with the Gen2 versions of the nailers before buying more. I'm hoping the Gen 2 will be majorly improved and they they come with up a cordless pin nailer too.

I have the angled 15 and the 18 ga nailers. I don’t have any complaints. Sometimes the short 1” 18ga pin get jammed but for the most part both of them save me a lot of time

I grabbed the 15ga nailer for $199 (haven’t received it yet) I figured I’d wait for the Gen2 version of their 18ga nailer with the questionable reviews I’ve read.

I'm still on the hunt for the 2897-22 kit with the free mid torque. I know I missed the BF deal.

It's currently $399 everywhere I've looked. Am I missing a deal? I think the free mid torq deal goes at least through the end of year.

Should I hold out for another sale or discount on this item before the free mid torq deal expires? Or just bite the bullet at $399.

I dunno. Last I've seen is buy one for a 100$, get another for another 100$ HD hasn't even tried to be competitive .
HD is fine for RYobi when the batteries are $75-80 for (2) 4ah's. Ebay for Mil usually.
Before I just did the 4 x 5ah Mil's for $200, I bought a couple at $54.50 each & 1 at $60.
IMO the 9AH isnt worth more than $140 because its usually cheaper than that all over, (Ebay).
I go by AH per $ usually.. Just got the 9AH batt for $30-40 in the $200 set w/ Fuel grinder thanks to 20% off. :eyecrazy:

CPO is doing the 2606-21L at $99 and free shipping over $49

You get the M18 2606 brushed drill, compact batt, charger and LED Light

HD has had this before, too, and then clearanced at $89 or less. I have not personally seen it in stores recently, though. After state sales tax (not sure why) I was at $103. Still better than I’d typically do in store at 8% tax rate, plus I don’t have to support my local municipalities who squander money

I never saw 2-packs of 5.0’s at $99 at HD. 3.0’s for BF, yes.

Maybe I just missed it.
Me neither. I'm pretty sure that was a clearance price, otherwise they're $80+ ea. Check Ebay, $50 or close to it. Actually, when they arrive, I might sell a couple of my new 5.0's.

I had gotten 2) 5.0s at the circle something place noted up the page when they were on sale a week back. I remember when the 4.0 came out and HD had one for practically free with a flashlight. Now I'm at the point where my 3.0s are showing their age. I suppose that I could rebuild, but that is something else for the list...

Holy **** MIL20 is working on the $199 nailer kits at toolup.com meaning you can get the 2742-21ct (16ga) or 2743-21ct (15ga) for $179 and free shipping.

Double check my model numbers in relation to gauge before ordering.

edit: code is supposed to be today only

Their new bundle that's close to that price point is now brushless, so I doubt you will see that bundle again. $99 for brushless kit at HD, normal price is $119
