I agree. The drive tools seem to be Wright and the wrenches are obviously Barcalo. I'm wondering if the sockets might be Thorsen.

Those look like the Wright version from here. I was very close to buying a few nice PowrKraft (Barcalo) wrenches this past weekend. The seller is way high on prices of everything so I didn’t ask.

I revived the "S.R." sockets thread, posting a pair of photos here.

Outlaw, thanks for the info about the Millers Falls vise. I had figured out it was a Millers Falls thanks to someone else but didn't know about the lettering on the main screw head. Sure enough, M F Co No. 18 Made In USA was hiding on there!

I'm looking forward to going straight to the source this week of those vises. Guy's father had passed away and they are getting rid of his tools. Supposed to be a lot more.

Man I had to send Bluebolt a PM because the words I had for him over that baby bullet were beyond ****

Finally took delivery of the vidmar cabinets I got earlier in the month. They look as new on the inside as they did on the outside, so I was glad that my assumption on them was correct...I should just need to clean and grease the bearings. Much thanks to cbacres on his thread and other advice on that process.

I'd say the sockets are Wright also. The script appears similar.

I'm not attached to it, my other baby is in slightly better shape and is early, machined step base and bullet shaped swivel locks. No date so maybe WWII. Remnants of a Wilton decal too.

I did not miss it, I have just become numb to the amount of baby bullets since they seem to fall out of the sky on here [emoji16] garage journal has that effect on you! Nice find !

Scored this small lot from goodwill ! Paid $10 for a bundle of wrenches and there was a lot of junk import wrenches mixed in... After I sorted out the junk wrenches, I got these keepers! Quite a few 6pt wrenches both metric and sae! Also scored a plomb ignition wrench !


Also scored all these craftsman hi visibility marked sockets from a pawnshop ! Both sae and metric !

Can you or someone else post a screenshot? I don't have a Facebook account, unsure if this is because of that or other issues on top of that, but the page won't load at all for me (usually when it requires an account, it will load a login page, but it's just giving me a server error instead).

It was a good haul and happy about it. I had an old man take a swing at me with a newspaper while we were having a civil conversation about tools. It was a weird garage sale to say the least.

The pickings in my neck of the woods was getting a little stale so I continued to pick the Olympic peninsula in Washington [emoji23] I dipped into port Angeles and scored some more deals ! I am getting my picking fu all warmed up for the pir swap meet ! Scored a barely used if at all craftsman 32mm combo for $5! My large size metric combos are lacking so I was all over it !

I also stopped into the habitat for humanity and helped alleviate them from some of their excessive tools... Pictured is proto , snap on, p&c, sk and craftsman for $14

The Walden ratchet set is cool as hell in its pressed paper box. The snap on crows feet are messing with my head though. They look galvanized? The Williams S-52 has some grind marks on the head unfortunately

Cadmium plated, not galvanized. That makes them pre-1945 I believe...

Do not wire wheel them... read about it before you do anything drastic...

All wartime. Aircraft maintenance. Either US Navy or US Army Air Forces. I am straining to see, but it looks like they all have either a P.W.A. (Pratt Whitney Aircraft) or an Army-Navy (AN) stock number on them. EDIT: I've got a few that are black oxide, and Don (d42jeep) just found a few recently. Snap-on used all kinds of finishes on its wartime tools, including cadmium, black oxide, and also phosphates (whitish and dusty).

Just hit them with degreaser and then leave them alone ! Cadium is a very strong finish but you don't want to turn it into dust some it can become airborne!

I see. I wasn't paying attention, thinking it was a flip side photo, but the form factors are not even close and they're broached/milled different too - with Snap-on being box/flare nut and the AN's open end. They're all wartime, and all aircraft maintenance though. Did they come out of the same box?

Those 1/4-inch drive T-shaped pre-set torque wrenches (probably made by JO Mfgr in Soutgate/LA, Calif.) are also aircraft maintenance. Guessing also wartime. I've got a few of those, too.

I got bored this morning, so I took a trip out to the ReStore for SnG's.
Just the usual junk tools that never sell, except ........
........ after a little digging, I found two speed drives. A 3/8dr and a 1/2dr. Both are SK diamond logo's. Had to pay $8ea

I searched and searched, but I couldn't find the 1/4dr to complete the set.
