When did Lowes start doing a 11% rebate? The last 2 days I've spent around 200$ in the Lowes in Anderson In. on the receipt it said it had a 11% online rebate.
Atleast a year ago. Trying to catch up with Menards

a store near me dropped the utilitech daylight bulbs to 39.99 with over 20 packs in stock... even with my previous comments this is now very tempting from being 68 bucks a few days ago.

any risk with ordering these online and having them cancelled? would go nicely with a coupon if i could..

If you're concerned about that, since it's a nearby store, you could follow the advice that I think someone else posted here in the past few days... Go find the item in the store and put one (or however many you need) in your cart, and then place the order online from a smartphone. IIRC, then if they quickly cancel your order, you can take your cart over to customer service and get them to un-cancel it and fill it using the ones you found.

If you put the items in your cart,(pulling them off the shelf) of course they will cancel your order, cause they won't be able to find them. Once an order is canceled, you cannot un-cancel an online order at the register and reuse a coupon code that you used online.

Don’t cancel the order. As you go to the customer service desk and you’re about to be asked if you need help then you submit the order and they can look it up. Do everything within a minute. That’s what I do. Then they ask for the order number and release the items to you.

They do it because Menards does it, so you must have a Menards relatively close.

Not if there are over 20 packs in stock I doubt they will cancel... If you really wanted to you could go to the store, grab what you want, place the order on your phone, then walk up to customer service and tell them you got the items already and just need to sign the paperwork.

Thanks man! Just picked up a few measuring devices thanks to you.

Curious turn of events - ordered from the suggested stores, got a call from a local store wanting to confirm I had ordered three separate orders. Confirmed that, and they are shipping from a local store instead of the store where ordered.

Anyone else encounter that before? The local store does show stock, but not at those clearance prices.

Not that I'm aware of, but I've gotten stuff from CA that really arrived too quickly to have been shipped across the country. Couldn't read ship from address but probably not from CA.

As to the others with cancellations, I lucked out both the measuring tools I ordered I've received shipping confirmations. (6ft rulers which I use as straight edges when tiling & Swanson sq)

Maybe corporate has received too many complaints of cancelled orders so they are tweaking the system? Or possibly since they are now offering "free shipping" for MyLowes members they are trying to ship from closer locations to save on shipping costs on lower-dollar items?

If you look at your orders on the web site, click "view details" after "shipped" on the purchase details screen, it will show where it was shipped from. My orders have shipped from the local store now, even though they were ordered from various stores far away.

I wonder if this means we could also get "OOS" items, since they are shipping from other stores with different stock. Maybe that's why they change the price back to full price when store stock of a clearance item is depleted.

It does seem like they are changing the system, in the past the items did ship from the store where they were ordered.

Seems like they could also provide a means to combine those orders - they are shipping several boxes but could have put everything in one box, except that they were different order numbers since I had to order from different stores.

Better yet, if clearance pricing were consistent between the stores we could just get the items from a local store.

Some stores are deemed "fulfillment stores". Online orders are either shipped from a main distribution center, or from those stores regardless of the store you are "shopping" when you place the online order for shipment.

So those of you that got them delivered either got your orders in and processed before Lowes caught on to it and started cancelling for others, or your fulfillment stores didn't catch it and shipped them.

Depending on where you live, there are different fulfillment stores for different regions. For example I'm in Maine, most of the stuff I order online either comes from a distro center in NC or from a fulfillment store in Windham, Me.

Man, I was watching one of my local stores with the Biolite camp stoves, they had 5 of them @ ~$50 each... price never went any lower and one day they were all gone. :( I haven't gone by that particular store in a while, if I'm in the area I might have to go check just to make sure they didn't get like a custom markdown or something.

If that was the bio lite combo kit at $50 that is a very good price. The kit includes a grill. At $50 I am afraid it is gone!

It wasn't the one with the grill, it was just the basic unit... I'm sure it was a good deal @ $50 if you needed / really wanted one. I kind of viewed them more as a novelty.

Did anyone have orders canceled? I just ordered Wednesday, everything shipped, and there is still stock available for purchase.

I had to place six separate orders, since different stores had different items on clearance. Three shipped from a store in this area, the one that called and confirmed, so they are well aware of the situation. The other three shipped from the store where the items were purchase, at the other end of the country.

What is the basis for your explanation? It doesn't seem to match my experience, trying to reconcile the differences.

Porter Cable 3.5 amp restorer is down to $17.33 from $99 in zip 33511. I don't know what it is, but it's cheap so I bought one. :wtf:

Lowes is ****ing incompetent.

I placed an order recently. Got a confirmation on the website, but no confirmation e-mail. I went to the store and they had no record of the order. The order # on the website confirmation is the same as the last order # I placed. The items from the second order appear on the website history as having been made with the first one. But of course I didn't get them.

Unfortunately I paid for it with a gift card (which was very much charged), and...so what do I do? I'm at the mercy of the dipshits at lowes customer service. I spell it out clearly to them and they ignore me. "Your order was picked up." No it wasn't, you stupid ****. So I get to deal with these stupid ********ers more.

I know Lowes has substantially better prices than the competitors with these gift card deal sand coupons -- but, holy hell, they really aren't worth dealing with.

Your local store will probably know very little about lowes.com. Your best bet is probably to navigate through the online customer service.. start with a website CSR and then a gift card CSR. they will be able to trace back the transaction if truly posted to your gift card. between the two of them, they should be able to figure it out.

Local stores went through an upgrade a few weeks back and their online pickup system is jacked and they appear to be running both systems concurrently now. I haven't seen "your order is ready" confirmations for a few weeks now and the other day they couldn't find my order in store and grumbled "it's in the other system".

Good luck! I had to navigate it a few weeks back for cedar order cancellations with gift card. turns out they place temporary holds on gift cards when orders are canceled. they show balance, but you get an error when trying to use them. the gift card csr was able to clear them.

Nice. Still full-price in my area.

"The restorer is able to accomplish a variety of tasks that typically require the use of many different hand tools and power tools. The restorer is a patented hand-held or bench top tool that can be used to buff, sand, grind, polish, scrub or clean any surface. Its design makes the restorer very balanced and compact for maneuvering in tight areas and around tough obstacles. And wait, in any type of surface, Flat or curved, wet or dry. The restorer can be fitted with any type of roller from sanding sleeves, abrasives to wire wheel and everywhere in between."

A comparable tool is a Makita Burnisher or the Eastwood Contour Sander. The PC Restorer (and consumables) are at much more affordable price point, and the dust collection abilities are very nice. Developed by a guy from Ohio.
He plans to have many different types of abrasives available as well.

Maybe that's your local store or your account for some reason?

I just ordered a couple more squares yesterday, shipped from the store in Arizona already.

Looks like you got the only one, no stock at that store and other stores in that area are $69.30

Not very useful without the sleeves, did they have the sleeves on clearance also?

Store I found one at about $19 had alot of the the sleeves at 75% off also. My order was cancelled before the store even opened, 10 min. after ordering from an employees personal lowes email address (?!!). Ha ha, the lengths that these employees will go to game the system and ****** clearance items is nuts. Then, got 2 phone calls from the store 1 minute apart, no voicemail left. Wanted to make sure I didn't come in probably. I was very tempted to go in to the store and suss out the tool, but am too busy today to do the normal b.s. required in my area to get a Lowes clearance deal.

No voicemail left for proof of who took it in case I came in to complain, but the idiot sent my "cancelation email" from his personal employee email account with his name on it, ha ha ha. Some millennial got a Craigslist flip item today, not worth it. If these constant rip offs are any indication of internal attitudes in mgmt., Lowes is the next Sears.... It's district wide in my area. This was in an outlying store, quite a drive, and good in the past for being honest. Guess another decent one bit the dust and hired a scammer.

Oh, an FYI for everyone, Lowes internet inventory has an extra 1 item holdback, so if it shows 1, chances are 99% that there are actually 2 in the store.

Where are you located and where is your stuff actually shipping from? Just because you are set to shopping the Arizona store, your products aren’t going to ship from there. If my orders would have gotten shipped, guaranteed they wouldn’t have come from out west. They come from a location closest to the receivers address. Maybe the problem is that fulfillment stores don’t have stock around here, who knows. Clearly wherever you are located, your fulfillment stores aren’t catching it. Maybe they pay more attention here in the north east who knows. It’s hit or miss. It’s not my account or anything as I have gotten stuff through in the past as well, but sometimes they cancel it.

I'm being serious when I say I didn't know what it was when I bought it! I don't know if they had the consumables. I'm hoping they are either universal or still in production.

There were at least two left when I bought mine, but that store is always busy. I wouldn't be surprised if they were sold off with a few minutes.

Pennsylvania. Prior to this last round of orders, they always shipped from the selling store. In this last round, some shipped from a store in this area, the other half shipped from the selling stores in CA and AZ.

It’s not my account or anything as I have gotten stuff through in the past as well, but sometimes they cancel it.

I'm not sure how you can know that, since your experience seems to differ from mine and many, if not most, others here.

I don't recall the last time I had an order canceled.

Because your fulfillment stores are different than mine, that's what I am trying to get through to you, your's are more lenient....

However Lowe's system works to decide where your order will ship from, clearly your stores aren't flagging it while mine are. Like I said, it's hit or miss for me as well as others that I know of that live in my area.

So it is your local stores, as I suggested earlier. Hard to say which is "right", just different I guess.

According to the internet folks at my local fulfillment store, where it ships from is dependent on the item and stock levels, and the system decides, not them.

Exactly, that's what I was suggesting as well. I emailed Lowes to see what's going on.

The apparent recent changes to online ordering must be affecting this as well - when I look at that store online, I see different pricing and no stock, it says those items are unavailable at that store. Two of the sleeves are available at higher prices in-store but not for shipping.

If they are moving to fulfilling everything from local stores, maybe the clearance pricing at other stores won't apply anymore.
