I know there's a contest one on the main board, but this is for vintage tools only (since that's all I like :D). What have you found this year, at swapmeets, garage sales, antique malls.......Post away.

I'll start..........

Found today, $25 for both and it came with 3 wrenches. Slow start for me as the old tool market is drying up at the antique malls and swapmeets around me.

Posted at another post, but want to contribute to this post as well.
This tools are pretty rusty and quite stuck...

...Already got myself Evaporust, plastic box and some gloves. Awaiting the warm weather to do it outside: will get rid of some rust with manual wire brush and then drop into Evaporust (first use for me, can not wait...)

Once these are done (assuming it works well), will open a small toolbox full of other rusty treasures and see what else is there to restore.

Got these 3/4" drive SK and Snap-On @ local auction. Has 20 SK sockets from 7/8" to 2-1/4" plus the SK ratchet, 2 breaker bars, extensions, and adapters I got for $80. The 2-3/8" is Proto. Snap on ratchet and handle was upside down in bucket of tools I had scouted and got for $20.

That Wilton vice for $30 is a steal......and Frecklefarm, I didn't even know that Snap On made a claw hammer.

I started off slow this year as I haven't made it to any of the antique tool swap meets :(, I'm gonna try to hit the next one. Cars getting in the way of my old tool buying.....

I've suffered two terrible blows this season. First, my local flea went belly up and now I have to drive about 40 minutes to the nearest good one.

Second, it appears that I now live in Narnia because winter came and never left.

If it's not snowing in July, I will be sure to drop anything I turn up in this thread.

I posted last week about Harpers Ferry-any news about a new location?
Where do you head now.
I hit Thomasville PA Saturday. Good weather and busy.
Found 1 DBE. On the way home, I stopped on RT 30 and picked up 9 DBE's.
Will post after I take pics.

The property remains vacant and the locals say that there are no plans to open a flea market on the same property.

Sadly, for the first time in 40 years, there will be no local flea.

As for replacements, a small backwater antique store tried to spin up and take advantage of the vacuum but by the looks of things it will not be a viable replacement.

Several guys that I used to see at Harpers Ferry have gone to York PA and also to Front Royal, VA. Both are a healthy ride for me so I might go back to my old school methods of word-of-mouth sales, barn clean outs, etc.

Good hunting. IF you hear any update for Harpers Ferry/Charlestown area, please consider passing it on.

Believe it or not, I did pretty good in Horse's back yard this weekend. We met up in Winchester, then I had to go help my parents fell/cut up a tree near Balto. I stopped at the little "antique barn" on Halltown in HF and scored quite a few wrenches, and a nice Fulton box set.

On the topic of flea markets around here, I think I'll likely only hit Winchester/Front Royal twice this year, memorial and labor day weekends. I'll be headed to Glen Burnie on weekends from now on. Tons of vendors, unaffected by weather, always new stuff.

This was only the second time I went where there was a tool vendor on an outside table. I got a dual marked Plomb/Proto long combo, some Plomb, Bonney and LA wrenches besides the Fulton set.

I hate to sound like I'm bragging but I have been finding plenty of toolboxes on the curb in the trash since the flood of 2016 down here in south Louisiana. A LOT of tools too. Yes, some are really crusty, but there have been a few instances of finding decent, useable stuff here too. Some have carpentry tools and other homeowner junk in there, but I've found a ton of ratchets, wrenches and sockets. I'm taking some to the Atomic Blast car show in Gulfport MS this coming weekend.

I have a vintage correct set of Cman =v= DBE wrenches that would look GREAT in that rack!!! Nice find.

Been to Hall town 2 or 3 times-No luck. May have to stop by again.
Where's the FM in Glen Burnie?

Just off 100 take a left at the first light after the "freeway" ends in Pasadena. Go to first light and take a right.......about a block down on the right, can't miss it.

By the way...last pic is of the second NB set I already found a month ago. Think most of that is from the 536 set, but not sure yet
