The SBOTD is some vacs....sorry not exactly tool related but the Shark Apex is pretty damn nice, I bought one about a year ago for this same price of $199
As a "mechanical" bachelor it impresses me with excellent fit and finish. They're mold making must be killer 'cause everything fits and snaps together well, and the plastic doesn't feel cheap. Has a lot of cool features and they have actually placed LED lights in places that are INCREDIBLY helpful, including sighting down the wand. Very impressed with the lighting.
Being able to remove a cover plate to get at the brush is ingenious, and the CLEAR cover to SEE the roller brush is equally intelligent.
Not great as a shop vac (edit: the body lifts away making it a "canister vac"), though 'cause it has a bottleneck that clogs easily with large-ish items. Also it is a bit heavy so I might not reco for "little women" or the elderly (plus the controls will be confusing).
Again, as a single guy in the country with three dogs who appreciates well-engineered things that work, this vac has my support.
