Does anyone know here if you buy enough to get bulk pricing. Then return what you dont need do they return at the bulk cost each? I need 8 of an item but if I buy 10 I get them for 25% less it shows. Then return the 2 at discounted price keeping the 8 at 25% off

Yes, if you buy enough to meet the threshold, you keep the discount. Best to purchase on a will call ticket, take with you what you plan to keep and call or go by the next day (depending on payment method) to cancel the rest for a refund.

A store manager suggested I do this when I last bought electrical conduit and was a few pieces short of the discount.

I did that for insulation and I’ve got what I paid per each item and they didn’t charge me more , so yes you can do that

Not clearance, but a good price. Two weeks ago, I paid $238 for this same Husky bench, but in black. I think $238 was a sale price, so $198 is even better. If you can tolerate the white, this is decent bench. My shop is almost entirely on wheels and this might become my general purpose bench, or I might mount my Dremel drill press, small grinder, etc. to it. Just know that there are no edges to mount a vise to, other than the back of the bench.

It has two drawers and adjustable height top. Easy assmebly. I added other wheels I had instead, but might swap back to the original wheels.

Watched them assemble one last night. Decent top, but the drawers are a bit to be desired for. I think they are rated like 15 & 30 lbs for the two drawers. Not for tool storage obviously, but with the long width of the drawer, I wish they had better slides. It may be easier to get an approval for purchase because it's in white though.

Agreed. I assembled mine, then went on vacation and am thinking about how best to set it up. I'm tempted to remove the drawers and just mount vises, etc. For now, though, I loaded the drawers with various sized saw blades. There were in a wooden cabinet that I gave to a neighbor. The bench is currently located next to my drill press, and where I plan to put my Dremel press, so I might use those drawers for the various bits/accessories those tools require.

Crapped my pants seeing another store had 4 when I was across town reading the post, as I need one. Nothing fits the Milwaukee well. Of course couldn't find anything on any shelf. I did learn something though. The staff said all the top stock is supposed to be scanned for inventory locating. I suppose you have to with that much ****, but seems they never can find what I'm looking for

When they lose the overhead stock, you win by finding it.

Peak chargers were pennied.

I got one as well..went a couple weeks ago and picked one up at 13 bucks even though I didn’t need it. Knew they had a couple left in a weird spot in the store so picked one up last week. Haven’t done a penny deal in awhile.

Where do you guys find pennied stuff? Is it for Pros only? I never seem to see those deals at our local HDs.

They are generally not labeled or easy to find.
Typically you will find them in the wrong section of the store aka someone lost track of it and it has left the system.
Or it will be on the clearance shelf or overhead aka someone can’t get to it easily.

They are supposed to be pulled from the shelves so it is a combination of timing and luck.

And add the idea that it is extremely rare/about like winning the lottery. I've been on top of HD deals for 5 years now and can count on one hand how many penny deals I've gotten. I've been denied/stopped about 10 times.

Pretty much the same thing here. I've been able to get a handful of good things for a penny, but the vast majority is **** like random lighting, selfie sticks, or other stuff that I have no use for.

If I find something good that I know is a penny, I don't screw around with trying to sneak it through the SCO. I just ask the store manager or assistant manager if I can buy it at the last clearance price.

My teen came with me as daddy “hacked HD’s computer.” What she can’t understand, nor can I, is why SCO wouldn’t work, why you’d be denied, etc. Doesn’t the item ring up for 1penny? It sounds like the app is siloed from the store’s pricing software?

Some stores will try to stop you from buying the pennies. Be fast at checkout and they might question but none have ever told me I couldn’t have the item. I have taken some through a regular checkout. One time I went through garden and they were backed up so they first scanned my pennies (3 spade bit sets) on the handheld then finished on the register.

Any reports that the register or SCO will not allow it are fake news in hopes of keeping the pennies for themselves or there was an unrelated issue.

Yeah. I was picking up an online order, but actually wanted some instore items and that's when I found the Ryobi kit. When I went back to the pickup register, it was $130 and even at that, she was like, "wow, that's a pretty good deal." Can you imagine if it was $1.30!

I think it's people scanning the yellow tag barcode instead of the item's upc.

No it's not fair news. I've had the self check out lock up and pop up with see attendant as soon as I scanned a penny item. A few weeks later found another penny item at the same store and checked out at the same register no problem. No idea what the difference was.

Also here's a deal that's probably very limited but worth a shot. Found it on the top shelf on the bottom of a pallet with other grills on it. :bounce:

Nope. Some stores have it automatically call the attendant in self checkout. There's ONE store locally that does it. I got stopped with a Husky pouch that I scanned the barcode on the item itself, retail tag was missing. Scanned other items and then scanned that and it locked me out from doing anything further. I haven't been able to get any good deal from that store. The attendant basically acted like I was trying to steal, she paged the manager on duty before even coming up to me.

I got the same pouches from three different stores in the area, no trouble at all.

Every single time I've got busted at the SCO with a penny it has always devolved into a huge clusterf**k of panicked/confused employees scrambling around for 10-15 minutes until a manager can make there way up there.

They will usually let me get it for last clearance, but the only thing they've ever let me walk out with for a penny was this beauty right here:
