Found a hidden place for deckmate screws, still $25, will they go lower?

I grabbed the 5# one for just over $20 a week ago. There was a metal stand of them at the endcap near the plywood in two stores. Seems to be different packaging as the reason for the clearance.

Twin pack of 3.0 m12 compact batteries with charger are at $70 on the clearance shelf right now. That's a pretty great deal IMO.

the other half of the display they used for that M12 offer had a M18 two 5AH batteries with a charger for 169$.

I noticed that the local store had those just disappear. has anyone seen them discounted?

not that I need more 5AH batteries, but for the right cost . . . . . .

The 3.0 M12 twin pack was not the promo one on sale last week with the add on tools for $99. I got the discounted $70 3.0 pack on the 1st or 2nd since the promo was already sold out around town.

I'd be surprised if the M18 promo battery pack was discounted yet.

Heck of a find there! I've been looking for a good truck tool box on sale, but they aren't marked down out here in OKC.

Dont get me wrong, i could use the extra money, but right now I still enjoy the hunt for penny items more. And it doesn't have to be reg high price item.

If you lived near by, I would actually give to you for free...well actually for a penny!

Enjoy your day & be safe out there

The recent promo had a 5ah and 2ah for $200 and two 5ah for $300. Both came with a free tool. I got the 200 kit with the M18 hackzall

I can't find them on the HD website, but here they are on amazon for a few dollars more:

How many of you have had luck buying the BOGO power tool deals, returning part of it, and getting the tool at the discounted price still?

I picked up a Ridgid impact and battery BOGO today and notice my receipt listed the partial return values for each piece individually but under the BOGO promotion. I'm contemplating getting a circular saw as well since it normally retails for $149, if I return the batteries I theoretically get the saw for ~$81.

They shouldn’t bat an eye at just returning part of the bogo. I’m sure there are a few cashiers out there that will say no, but the system will allow it and that is what they are supposed to go by.

I have only done it two or three times.

I buy the promotion, loop out to the truck and leave behind the part I want to keep, and go in the door next to the return counter.

after they scan the original receipt, they ask "is there anything wrong with it?"

I answer "no, I just dont want it." they scan it, hit a few keys, ask me to sign the screen, and hand me back a receipt and say "it will be refunded to your credit card."

now, I would not make a habit of it, because I am of the impression that HD tracks returns, and I dont want any issues, but it is printed right there on the receipt, so . . ..

I was able to find a Home Depot close to me (Derby, CT) that had a few of the twin pack m12 3.0 batteries+charger for $70 marked down, and in stock. Bought mine, and wanted to let others know in case they were searching.

I have a hard time to justify this deal. with regular tool + 1.5&3.0xc kit $99 deal it seems the batteries only cost about 50 bucks or less. the xc one is also more powerful. with that been said, why we consider $70 for two 3.0cp kit is better deal? just because of the compact?

You are getting the 1.5/3ah combo (and bag, which is getting close to value compared to a 1.5ah in my book) combo for $50 if bought with the stapler. So 4.5ah's for $50, or $11.11 per ah.

The 2 x 3ah combo is $70, or 6ahs for $11.66 per ah. There will also be a premium for the latest tech, so the $.55 per ah is more than worth the upcharge. I'd rather have the compacts because that's what M12 are supposed to be, and XC packs **** in heated gear.

And the 3ah XC has the same amount of power as a 3ah CP, just twice as many cells. Potentially there is more available power in an XC battery, but if I'm going to put an XC on a tool, it will be a 6ah (never paid more than $50 for them).

I picked up four of the 2x3ah CP packs for $63 each yesterday, plus 11% Menards matching rebate, so not a chance you will see a 1.5ah around here.

great summary. I think this is good enough for me now to buy it. Although I dont see it's a epic deal but I think it will run out
very soon. thanks.

Some M18 kits are being cleared out. Picked up a hex impact with a charger and two 3a-hr batters for $119. Normally $170. They also have drills at the same price. So not a crazy good deal, but I'd been using an old Hitachi 18V for my deck project (rather than the M12), and I realized that the time saved would make this pay for itself. I've seen these at a couple of HD's in my area. MIlwaukee rep told me a while back they are ditching the kits and moving towards batter starters and tool only options, so any kits in inventory would likely be going on sale. Well, they are.

To me, the size of the M12 3.0 CP batteries are what make them great - same size and weight as 2.0s with a little more "oomph." The twin pack of batteries alone are listed for $109 at HD, and the kit we're talking about is normally $99. Even on amazon the cheapest I've seen genuine Milwaukee 3.0 CP batteries are $58 each. Throw in the charger, and to me it's a great deal. I'll probably sell the charger since I've got three of them, and make the deal even sweeter.

Deal of the day is Ryobi. I have a powerwasher, but the one on sale sold out already. I'm going to try their cordless compressor for light duty, cleaning, etc.

Today's Home Depot Special Buy of the Day has to be the most random assortment of stuff I've ever seen on one page...

Unfortunately the Home Depot near me never appears to have any of the deckmate screws that are put on clearance. I check their clearance items at least once a week since I'm there frequently buying supplies for work, and have only found one 5lb box in two years. My guess is that another contractor must get a tip off and beat me too it.

I already have too many Deckmate screws from the last clearance. Must resist.

Pro tip: look for internet # 300861858 (5lb 3" screws)
Where you find some clearance screws you will probably find more.

Dewalt "20v" string trimmer with 4AH battery and charger. sku #1004144439 $50.04 shows some in stock locally, so you may be able to find some still.
