Beware getting the platforms down! I am currently recovering from a severe concussion, and haven't been to a store in over a month. I only went into HD because I returned an item pre-concussion, with a receipt, and wasn't given the correct amount for the return. Item was the Echo blower, paid $219, was given back $199. So check your receipts when you return! I went to grab a platform, and BAM!!! They all flew forward, nearly hitting me in the head. Not what I needed for my neck and back either, to be dodging something flying at me.

I'm confused. How did you get a concussion from something nearly hitting you in the head?

He already had a concussion. He was recovering from it when he walked into the store and almost had an accident that made it worse.

Ah.

That *****, Poe. Hope you're feeling better now. The last time I had one, I had lingering effects for a while (light headaches and had to make sure I didn't move my head too quickly when standing)

Thanks Lurker, much appreciated. The juveniles who assaulted me are being charged, I'm a teacher. Can't say much more than that but some of you may have seen me on the news. And it's "she" ;) Probably one of the only women on here with a tool/home improvement addiction.

Don't tease me...

Hahaha! And I have a 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser. :bounce:

Sorry to get off topic guys. Here's a deal, Echo 58V 4AH battery is down to $119, 1001-207-865. I'm sure a few of you grabbed those ECHO trimmers when they went to .03

Reit38, I'm not sure but my local store had all those items on sale as well.
The whole outdoor grill/cooking area was loaded with clearance items, most 75% off. I picked up a couple of each item.
My location is north central WV ( a little south of pittsburgh) so maybe that will help you figure out if its regional.

As mentioned earlier, I thought this was a particularly good deal:IMG_4884.jpg

For those who use torches, is this a decent deal? I don’t have an immediate use for this but I see the need to heat up a rusted bolt in the future:

the deal is OK... but since you don't have an immediate need, I would wait and watch for a used one through a garage sale, craigslist, etc. The resale on these is awful. That $45 item normally sells for under $10 at a yard sale and they seem to be pretty readily available as a lot of people buy them for one task and never use them again. Just my thoughts.

I was more curious about the Mapp gas. Is $15 a decent price for 2 cylinders?

Yeah that's a good price for HD. The Mapp gas normally sells for $11-$12 at HD or Lowes so 2 for $15 is good. I needed another bottle and bought one last month. Luckily I didn't use it yet so I returned it & bought that double pack.

That torch combo usually sells for $54. I got mine on Amazon for $39 but just the TS8000 torch by itself.

MAPP gas is't really mapp anymore. I don't find it appreciably hotter than plain old regular blue can propane. certainly not worth the price differential.

if you want hotter, get the O2 kit.

Those worktunes headphones are garbage, bought and returned them earlier this year. The volume output is SOOOOOO low on these, especially considering the environment they are typically used in. I still wouldn't pay $25 for them.

I'm not a fan of that model of worktunes either.

But,
I do like the newer model, The worktunes connect with gel cushioning. I use them everyday in my shop and have no problem with the volume (even when using a planer or cnc machine) and they are comfortable enough for 8-10 hours of use. I've tried about six different brands of hearing protection with bluetooth over the last several years and they have worked the best (at least for me, your mileage may differ)

Now for a deal tip:
HD currently has 25lb containers of 1 1/4" and 1 5/8" dry wall screws on special for half price, $25 instead of $50. I picked up one of each yesterday.

Internet id numbers of: 100394341 and 100394340

There was a lot of talk last year about getting Home Depot to match the ACE hardware 50% off one item (up to $15 off) coupon from the ACE Black Friday ad (see attachments). Some people said their HD wouldn't accept the "competitors coupon" but most people that posted said they were able to get their HD to accept it. I'm trying it for first time this year. For the folks that successfully got their HD to accept/match the ACE 50% off one item (up to $15 off) coupon; Did the HD cashier give you any trouble? What did you have to say to get the cashier to accept it? Thanks!!

In my experience here in SoCal you have to walk the register person through the process. If they call the manager over, forget it. They will act like you are trying to steal something. They have to hit "some" discount button, then internet match, then put in the 50%.. good luck! I did good one year but never tried again...

Ridgid 22" Pro Toolbox , 22" Pro Gear Cart and 22 in. Pro Organizer is down to $71 when you purchase all 3 online. You have to put all 3 in your cart to get the $71 price to show up.

Lol. I'm "that guy" he mentions in the video. I sent him a msg through IG & suggested he should make a video about it.

https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=8206286&postcount=56

I still think it's a glitch cause for some reason it applies the $29 discount twice. You can see the discount applied note in the cart twice. It's supposed to be 23% discount like it shows for the item prices but for cart total it gives you 44% off.

I purchased them in store & they were $98. When I came across this last night I ordered another set online, gonna return with my prior receipt.
