Also came to my attention yesterday Costco has the Arcan 3T Al jack (might be hybrid Al and Fe?) for $100 plus $10 shipping so if you're truly in the market it's better than the current $120 if your TSC has any left. Claimed weight on the Arcan is 58# IIRC

If you are looking for a decent leaf blower, TSC is clearing out Jonsered stuff. Husqvarna is killing the brand and TSC will be shifting back to Husky. This blower is identical to the Husky 125B for $45.00 less. I have both blowers,
no difference.

I bought one of the backpack blowers. I had an additional 10% off in the form or a Neighbors Club quarterly reward. Looks like a really nice blower for less than $200 tax included

I went yesterday to get the ratchet straps (thanks IGN) and took a bunch of pictures of clearance stuff. This is at the Youngsville, NC location. If I remember correctly the Gearwrench screwdrivers and Dewalt vice grips were made in Taiwan, everything else was made in China. I don't remember where the Dewalt screwdrivers were made. The flashlight had a metal body which I thought was cool. I've never seen this much on clearance before and some of it would make good spares or truck/car kits.

Remember guys, TSC isn't great at keeping up with clearance prices. Quite often clearance stuff is cheaper than marked. Unfortunately, you need to ask an employee to scan the items to get the actual prices. I usually wait until no one is at the register, and ask for things to be scanned. Employees are usually happy to oblige.

And if you are new to this, the clearance price online is about 75% of the time, HIGHER than what you will find in the store!

I always ask 'em to scan stuff if any significant time has passed since I last verified. You can often snap a shot of the UPC on things like jacks and have 'em scan the pic at the register - easier than lugging it around

I have purchased quite a bit of clearance stuff from TSC and each store has a different markdown schedule, depending on a few things, one being how many are in stock. I was surprised when a manager told me that when requesting a price match. Even though I was told that TSC does not price match clearance from other stores, for this very reason, I have never found a store that would not price match another TSC on clearance. Most stores want to get rid if it. For a large, heavy item like a jack, it wouldn't surprise me if you made an offer for less and had it approved.

So I went back and got the last Gearwrench driver set. Made in China but for $8.29 whatever. They match the truck. There was an Irwin ratcheting screwdriver and bits that was made in Taiwain though.

They look OK to me. Nicer than the HF tips I got in the toolbag currently.

I used the 1.25" ratchet straps today and they kinda pissed me off. They've tried to reinvent the wheel here and it's just a PITA.

They're a continuous strap from hook to hook with the apparent idea being you can place the ratchet mechanism anywhere within the length of the strap.

I eventually got on "civil" terms with them but I don't know what's wrong with the good ol' ratchet straps of old. I'm all for improvement but that's not what this is - best case it's just different, worst case it's quite annoying

This really isnt a 'clearance' item but they have the ez pour gas can spouts and will price match. Rural king is ~1hr away from me and had them for $8.99 on their webiste while tractor supply wanted $12.99 for them.

I guess this was already mentioned but.....

I don't know if applies to all TSC stores, but the one in my area had 50% off lowest marked price on clearance items, and an additional 25% off the lowest marked price on Ingersoll Rand air tools. I bought a detail hvlp a cutoff wheel, and quick change adapter for an air chisel. I believe the cutoff wheel and detail gun came out to less than $27 each.

Sad thing is it looks like they are replacing all of their Ingersoll Rand with Porter Cable air tools.

Well late last night I was looking over a 3/4" drive 12 point 1-9/16" socket I bought special for a job when I realized it came from TSC and not Auto Zone where I had first thought I bought it. Seems the Job Smart stamping was a dead give away

So today I took a side trip into my local TSC just out curiosity to see how much it was as I didn't quite remember ($10.99 was the price) and then looked to see if they had a 1-11/16 3/4" drive socket, Dodge truck axle nut size and how much it that would be to add to my tool box as my 3/4 drive set didn't have that exact size $13.99 was the price for that in 12 point.

Now in general I don't think there is much wrong with those sockets and people been using them for years for farm and construction work without much complaint I know of.

SO I will pass along that this 6 point set they had in store stock was being discounted from list (at least in my local store)

Well as I was just looking actually I went to head out the door and there was a basket of clearance items between the checkout and the exit wtf? Anyhow after a quick look, I just had to go around and get into the check out line.

I had picked up their 16" groove joint it was marked $4.99 (I flipped a bunch of these on my tool table last year) and it only rang at $2.50 and $2.63 total with tax.

Boy I dunno about some of these TSC stores, they did an expansion a few years ago 3 stores in less than a 50 mi radius. The store closest to me was horribly empty of tool stock. air/mechanic/ power. Maybe in stock inventory is based on sales I dunno? Mostly new OPE with nothing much to support it like belts, blades, saw chains Pretty much same as the original store in the "City" though that one looks like bomb went off in it there just so many "burb" type shoppers. that one never much has clearance either

The one north of me in a more farm country area has always seemed to been the better of the three. But I haven't been out that way in quite a while
