Also, as some of us were discussing a page back... If the item you find on sale in another town is bought using their shipping OR their delivery service, they actually change the price to the price at your local or nearest store that has stock.
These openers were half price ($200 off, each) at a Lowes 114 miles away, but they are also in stock at regular price, thirty miles away. If I bought online and chose 'delivery' they would charge me a delivery fee ($65 min) AND charged me the full price *BUT* if I bought for store pickup and drove, I'd save $600 on these three units. I elected to make the drive, saving $695.00. I also picked up two more that another member here purchased.

So...they have one left.

Recognition is due to Mr. Surly for his outstanding efforts to help out a fellow GJ member. I needed 2 of the openers for my upcoming shop build and contacted him for help since he was on site where they were discounted. Although he had already left the store, he returned, hunted them down in the rafters, got an associate to take them down then brought them home, labeled them and dropped at FedEx to ship to me today. On top of that, he didn't want a penny for his time even though he saved me over $400.

This is what the HOT DEALS section and GJ is all about! Kudos to a stand up guy. I hope one day I can return the favor to him or another member in the future.

For anyone who doesn’t pay attention to SD: Dollar General is selling Lowe’s gift cards for 15% off, $500 gift card max, 1 per account.

Create a DG account, provide cell #, load DG app on phone, log in. About 20 minutes later the digital coupon becomes available. Click to load it. Go to DG store, buy gift card, type cell # into keypad, discount applies. Worked for me today. I followed their rules, bought 1, no issues.

Since it’s a form of payment, it stacks with discounts and coupons.

Dollar General Deal on Lowe's Gift Card -- Be Careful

I set up a Dollar General login, loaded the app, signed in, and the digital coupon for 15% off Lowe's gift card appeared immediately.

I went to the local Dollar General store and found the display of gift cards. I looked at the back of the Lowe's gift cards, and it appears that all of the security strips covering the PINs on the cards had been tampered with. On some it was very hard to tell.

I found another gift card display, and the cards there seemed to be intact and not tampered, with the security strips appearing consistent from card to card. I was about to buy one of them, but then was told that they won't accept credit cards for purchase of gift cards. People on SD reported that some stores will take credit card, but others won't.

I decided not to buy the gift card because of the risk. If you buy one, I suggest spending it as quickly as possible just in case someone has the card number and PIN and tries to spend it online, or makes their own bar code card, or even just a bar code image to show on a mobile phone.

I haven't been to DG, but if you can find the same gift card elsewhere, you could bring one to DG and it would ring out the same.

Keep hearing how much Lowes **** . . . ( May I ask why are you're here then?)
SOrry you missed out. But Lowes is my choice for buying all of my materials.

During their markdown period, I saved thousands of dollars.
Buying materials that I normally couldn't afford or if I would refused to pay the premium for that product. (ie I replaced my decking with Trex for less than it would cost for PT. Recently after hunting around found $149 kitchen led fixtures for $30 -they look great in my garage Item # 805398 and had to waited for them to drop and I bought in different locations)

Clearance is a hit or miss proposition THAT is what the game is all about.

The store isn't advertising something on sale, then substituting something else.
It's clearing out old stock or merchandise that they aren't selling or aren't carrying anymore.
Which varies from one store to the next.
IT'S not nationwide.

Did I miss out on this? I can't seem to find that deal on the Lowes website.

Thanks to this thread and the heads-up from another member, I was able to get the jack shaft door openers that I posted about last week! I had found them marked clearance but not actually discounted (399.00) and asking if anyone saw them cheaper elsewhere.
Scav messaged me that he had discovered them in my region for HALF-price!
And they will ship. These are reasonably close so I’ll pick them up.

It was only available for a very short amount of time

It’s actually STILL available but of course, they have only one left, and we’ve established that they will NOT ship them at that price. You’ll have to go there.
Or get someone to go there as your proxy to pick it up and ship.
(I’m sitting here wondering if there’s an Über-like service for this(?)

Ran into Kankakee Lowe’s tonight and stumbled across the beginnings of quite a few clearence items, nothing too great yet but definitely some stuff to watch out for.

Propane and kerosene heaters starting to fall, quite a few Kobalt air tools and fittings hitting clearence as well.

Let’s hope that all those 20%s turn into 30 or 40%s pretty quick!
It seems that the stores around me are real bad about putting “Clearance” stickers on items that are marked down only 5 or 10%. Sometimes (those door openers) they say Clearance and are marked Regular price!!

Yea hopefully, my thinking is the heaters might drop the quickest, they have a large endcap full of them, other tools May take a while. When I have time I’ll have to go for a more thorough walk I’m sure there’s more. Maybe another reset coming.

Gonna scoop up that gift card offer. I shop there often enough for lumber and such that it's like a straight 15% discount on stuff I always buy!
Anyway to combine it with a Lowes credit card, for that extra 5% off?

My local stores have shutters on clearance. Just the “vantage raised panel” type in certain colors. Just so happens my colors are on clearance but I can’t scavenge enough together to do my house.

Damn, wish those wheel/tire combos were on sale near me in WA State. Nothing. Just did front tires on the John Deere and wasn't looking forward to the rears.

Wish those heaters were available near me! Right now I just have a big buddy heater for my garage and it will warm it up, but takes quite a while. 60,000 BTU would hear my garage significantly quicker than. 18000 BTU!

Anyone see shipping for a propane forced air heater? Craftsman 60k BTU are not available near me and the DeWalt 125k BTU are still $183+.

Was there around noon at the east Spokane valley store, Washington. Original price was 599$, marked down to $150. Everything looked new and unused383c053385c68665b2ae56a820b92ff8.jpg
