I see the screwdriver online for $1.19. But, when I add it to my cart, it is $5.98.
And, the website says there are 5 in stock at my Lowes, but the cart says I cannot pickup at the store. Any idea why this happened? Looks like the $1.19 is just make believe, not real.

I do not know for sure but I would guess they suspended merchandise pickup for the virus.

The $1.19 is real. I was able to order 2 online and pickup at my local store. Probably depends on your local store's policy on the coronavirus situation as XJPat mentions.

anyone else experiencing long delays on processing online orders for delivery (nonessential items)? usually a quick cancellation would follow.

BUT Lowe's is known for being inept.

Who knows them to be "inept"? I'm assuming that is your opinion, and that is fine, but I doubt most people think they are "inept". Most people seem pretty happy with them and know them to be competent, so perhaps it is just your local Lowes.

not just his local

So your local, too? Guess that is two stores out of hundreds.

One would expect their customer satisfaction ratings to be affected if this were a broader issue, so it likely is a handful of specific stores.

I'm sorry to say that it is also the stores in my area as well. I am not a Lowes hater (at least I had not been until recently), but their consistently abhorrent customer service experience is inexcusable. Last time I was there, I was second in line to address an issue with the on-duty manager; neither I nor the customer ahead of me left happy.

Frankly, "inept" is a much kinder term than I would have chosen.

Sorry but I'm looking for deals . . . like 50% to 80% off
Not expecting "customer satisfaction" at below cost pricing.

Lowes is GREAT (by me) :lol_hitti
But I'm not looking for customer satisfaction, but pricing satisfaction.
In being able to do or buy stuff that I wouldn't touch with a 10' pole at regular retail pricing.
For instance I replaced the weather/rotting pressure treated 2X6 deck boards with Trex for less than the cost of pressure treated 5/4 lumber.

Almost every business encourages online ordering and pickup.

The stores near me are now doing curbside pickup for online orders. Once you get confirmation that it is ready, you pull up and call a number on the sign and they bring it out to you.

Yes. Both orders I've placed, I've gotten a delay email. Only about a day or 2 both times though.

I just picked an order and they have several areas with online pick orders. Much more than before. They are getting swamped.

Back to the deals

Check out some of the Slime tire care products.

Reduced prices on plug kits, air pressure gauges, etc. of course YMMV.

Reduced prices at one, next store over still full Price.

Picked up a Dewalt DWE7480 table saw today for $225. It was the display with 25% off the $299 sale price. YMMV

Since more people are home you might have worn out your throne seat. Here's one of several that are on clearance. Slow close is weird but nice...

Here's to hoping they ship. I've got a 20year non sliding hitachi I'd love to upgrade at that price.

If it does not ship look at the Kobalt 10 in sliding double, possibly around fathers day sale. I have the Hitachi version I bought twoish years ago. Mine does not have the slide out wings which I wish it had. Everything else looks the same. I only got it because the forward quick bevel adjustment.

I placed an order yesterday from the Jackson store, ship to home. Showing in process but back ordered, so we’ll see if it happens or not...

A lot of the Reese hitch parts are clearanced 60% off around here. Needed a receiver and ball for my dads new truck and was pleasantly surprised to find the receiver, ball and pin "kit" for ~$10

Just got an email from Lowe’s wanting to cancel my mother saw order. I ordered from one of the stores listed above.

I got two emails that both my orders for them were delayed, and to call and confirm that I still want them and will wait. Called customer service and he made note that I still want them, and said I'll get an update email when they know a timeline for when they'll be in stock and another with a shipping timeline. We'll see...

Any hints on finding more deals on the Trex?
What should I look for? When would be a good time I might find a similar deal to yours?
How did you find yours?
Thanks

I found it in store.
Sometimes I just look at their inventory/stock looking for reduced prices. The game is playing chicken. Finding something at a 20% discount and waiting . . . until it hits 50 or 60% off. If it's something I don't have to have or can't use immediately I might wait until 80%off. But there is a good chance someone else will find it or Lowes will raise the price back up.

It was definitely a localize deal.
Stores in PA had the reduced prices, while stores closer to NYC didn't reduce their prices. Or the NY stores reduced by a few bucks. The Trex I picked up for was normally $38 to $42 for 12ft, I got at $10 & $5 a piece, less than buying pressure treated decking.

Plus I've found that IF you find a fanastic deal you need to act quick. Sometimes the deal will disappear in days or hours.
