These are your drive plugs. Not obvious what they’re for, because you don’t have the female ratchet. Yes, the screwdriver tip type is just that.
Yours are for a square drive ratchet; these are for a hex drive ratchet.
Most common ratchets today have a drive stud that is permanant. The advantage is, it doesn’t get lost.

I may have a family for that orphan Indestro! They've been missing their daddy 7/8 x 3/4 and their third son 1/2 x 7/16 for the longest time. Did you fined either of them??

Hi new to this group, picked up these for free a little while back. They were at a metal sculptors booth at an antique mall. After asking about 6 people who had the booth someone finally called him out for me. He said I could have them since he mostly uses the old wrenches and things for his sculptures and not sockets.
Largest is 1-1/4" all half inch drive. A few Snap on, one Craftsman underlined , Williams, and Wizard and others.

Here's a few other items I picked up this week and last. I couldn't believe the Craftsman allen sets didn't have any missing. I also thought the Perfect circle Piston ring tool was really neat. Everything cleaned up really well too.

Sorry for the crappy pic.
I thought the locking pliers were nice, I have never seen a set with removable jaws.
15 pcs of snap-on tools. All for 30.00

:)I saw a Union machinists chest last night in an auction with one bid at $50 (the minimum), so I threw a $77 bid on right near the end. I never bid even amounts because I have lost too many auctions by $1. Surprisingly I won it at $52. It needs some attentions but had a bunch of fun stuff to look through. It already looks better with a minor cleaning. I am talking to a fellow I know about having a front made for it. Oddly I have the keys but not the lock!!

Eddie and Dudley BOTH ****!

This!
Dudly, in the top box is that a Starrett depth tool in the top box, bottom right? Missing the plunger and lock for the looks of it, I have one and use it all the time, getting hard to read anymore, LOL.

I think I found the plunger... Here is what I have - I will have to keep an eye out as I go through the box.

I will pull each drawer tomorrow for cleanup, and go through the items.

Been there done that - Hope to again someday...

Amazing how many small bits get "lost" in the shuffle and a careful review can match them up again!

I can read yours, not sure mine has the cutout in the short end, it's at work but if you need a pic just ask.

A picture would be good - I can't quite figure out how the lock holds it in place.

Also, I am just collecting at this point. I would be willing to discuss swapping the plunger if you are interested. Mine will just sit on a shelf. Send me a PM.

Alright! Things are starting to shape up around here. Lots of good scores guys and gals, lets keep them coming.

Oh, and I bid the same way, Dudley. Don't know if it ever worked, but I feel like I am outsmarting something.

There are a couple of different models, 236 and 237 at least. I swear mine have different locking mechanisms on them. Seems like they are three pieces, a screw, a nut, and a turret. I can take pix if you get stuck.

Those are my favorite shop tool, have 3-4 Starrett, a Lufkin or Craftsman or two. Grab everyone I see, got several friends hooked on them too. There is also a version with a thin rod option instead of the skinny scale.

Here's mine--a No.236--exploded for you. Yours looks older and may be a bit different, but either way, you need at least 2-4 small fiddly bits for the locking mechanism, so keep your eyes peeled during the clean out. Good luck!

Between the back-to-back-to-back snowstorms and some other priorities, I just realized my last haul (Lugz 2021_13) was on February 6. Nineteen (19) days ago! This one (Lugz 2021_14) wasn't terrific, but it was good to get back out again.

The half hatchet is a "((Craftsman))", as is the tiny wrench, an ISN 520, although Long C. The other wrench is a Kraeuter. The lady's foot pry bar is a Proto MFD. That fire extinguisher in a can is CTC. It was under pressure at one point. I didn't read the directions yet, but I am assuming that you just pull that grenade clip, peel the lid back, and when it starts gushing, aim it at the blaze. I have a small collection of odd FE's.
