A bit of a recap. On Friday, I had actual things to do, so not to much rust hunting. That said, I went to a barn estate sale, as the pictures showed quite a bit of interesting furniture to be restored. But, unsurprisingly, much of this was priced too high for project status. So, I decided to look around at the shop portion and come back the next day for half off. Here is what I found:

Stanley sweetheart level, Winchester driver, Craftsman metric thread gauge (West Germany), Union inside calipers, and Browning USA knife. On a side note, tool/shop sales run by people who have no idea about those subjects are a bad idea. Prices were all over, such as a plastic top tray of rusty sockets and one ratchet for $80. This has nothing to do with pro vs. family, but a general familiarity with what is being sold. I then went to an "off-site" estate sale run by a company I don't really like, but it was near my barber. Nothing of interest there, but I go to their sales as they have no idea about tools, and I have found incredible deals with them.
On Sat, I made the rounds. Of course, the first three sales I hit were either non-existent or had nothing of interest. The next stop was far enough out in the country that I was starting to get a little nervous, it was feeling a little "meth-y" on the way out there. But it happened to be an older couple who needed to clear out as they were moving to a rest home. Not much of interest, but I found these:

A pair of low-end Japanese flyrods, one with the hand tag still on it. They were cheap enough, so they came home with me.
After that, spent far too much time in a "city" wide sale, city is a funny term for a census-designated area of trailer homes. Found nothing of interest, except maybe a case of depression. After that, headed over to the estate sale from the day before.
And, as I had delayed with dead ends, all of the interesting furniture was gone. But, I did find a few things that I had missed the day before:

Patches, a jeweler's anvil, and an unused set of stamping numbers. Also this:

A doctor's bag. It's a little dried out and missing a key, but should work perfectly for keeping tools in behind the seat of my truck.
After that I hit one more sale in that area, yielding the following:

Two Plomb wrenches, a spinner I can't quite place, Irwin speed bore wrench, Starrett fillet gauge, and a string of sockets which I picked up for the three Indestro Select.
And to round out the day, I swung by the sale that had the machinist tools on Thursday:

Here I picked up an odd set of dividers/compass, two sets of calipers (one with a sheath, one hermaphrodite) an unused endmill, Starrett thread gauge, and a snippet of a six-inch rule.
