Long time lurker here, I figured I would finally jump on board and start a build thread to document my progress so far and the upcoming projects.

The wife and I bought this place 3 years ago, 1958 ranch house, untouched since then. Garage was sparse, open studs, 2x6 ceiling joists at 48" o.c. no lighting.

The previous owner had used the 2x6s to hoist engines so I had to do some jacking and replacement of joists

I work in construction so sourcing the lumber was easy (Extra that fell of the truck), I added 2x6s at 24"o.c. and a drop down ladder My dad is also a Structural Engineer so any modifications I can run by him and be good to go.

Built a workbench and pegboard

When I'm not working on the house or garage or working in general, I'm usually wrenching on my project car/Money Pit, my 1991 Toyota Supra Turbo

One of the dangers of living close to the building supply store Loaded up to rock the garage:

All in all it took about 3 months, mainly working on the weekends. Insulating and adding more eave vents on the exterior made a huge difference too
