Here are some pictures from yesterday. I didn't do much since I had something to do in the afternoon. I think I put a solid 4-5 hrs of work.

One of the walls is ready for primer. I sanded the whole thing and only found 10-15 areas that needed minor touch ups.

I also patched this little section behind the sink that was really bothering me, still needs another 2 coats of mudding.

I will continue working now, later!

Well well well, this looks like a promising weekend. I have Friday and Monday off, which means a 4 day weekend :bounce:!

Tile guys is showing up Friday in the am and will probably finish the whole floor by Sunday. Hopefully I will be able to have most of the place painted by then! I'm going to do two strips in the middle of the wall that will go all around:thumbup:

Today my father gave me a hand and removed two 2"x4" that were out off place

When I arrived home I patched the wholes that were left behind ( the garage motor is not 100% finished)

The area around the heater needed a bit of work, I didn't want to remove just yet as the weather has been a bit cold and needed the heat for the mudding. Today I decided to remove the heater and did another coat of plaster. I will do another light coat sometime this week, a bit of sanding and we are good to start painting.

Hi guys,

Good progress has been done recently! Reinforced the edge that will be tiled, whoever made that did a really poor job. It looks like it was nailed down with a nailer which didn't do much.

Screws used

Those were replaced by these

Ready for porcelain

Also applied a coat of primer

Some areas needed a bit of mudding, just waiting for it to dry, some sanding and we are good to go!

Tile installer is showing up tomorrow! I will post more pictures by then!

Lots of work, great job with your progress. Is the heater the Mastercraft ceilling heater?

Thanks man! I'm sure all this hard work will eventually pay off!

Yes the heater is the mastercraft one, are you planning on getting one?

I initially wanted to go with a "Brick" layout but couldn't do it because of the slope on the floor. I'm still really happy with the way it's coming along !

Wow, that tile is looking great !! Total transformation in progress.

Curious if you're going to also tile that wood-covered bumpout at the edge of garage?? This could be your 2nd color tile. That tile could cover a backsplash for the sink as well.

Looking great, i was unsure about the tile design not being staggered but it looks phenomenal!

Same here! I really wanted to go with a "brick" look, I must say that i'm pretty happy with the way it looks right now!

Nice job! I was scared on the first page with all those holes... but it looks really good!

Thanks man! The walls and ceiling are pretty straight too :)

Nico,

Awesome job! You must be proud. What do the parents think? Graduation soon....

Mag

Thanks!

My father is loving it so far. Yup May 24th! Can't wait, I better start sending out some CVs

Nico:

An awesome space, bud!

What exactly are your next projects for this fine place?

Cheers!

Thanks! As of right now I just want to organize the garage a bit, my products are all over the place. I'll take care of some minor details like painting the doors, trims, etc. I also have more in mind but that's a secret for now

I just received this today!

This is going to be amazing once you get it all set up. I really have to hand it to you. You did A LOT of good work in a SHORT amount of time. Very impressive.

If you don't swap the door springs out for a torsion bar, get some safety cable ran through there. The last think you want is to be detailing someones car and a spring let loose. My FIL took out a rafter when his did.

Very cool you have a lift now, nice acquisition. Will that work on any car, its hard to tell for me but it seems its one large flat surface which i would think wouldn't work for certain vehicles.

Floor looks good Nico!!

But "brick" pattern could have still been used with the slope of the floor. Doing the "stacked" pattern makes the installer's life easier. ;)

Thanks Rick! I've been trying to do more work lately but I've been working non stop. I guess I can't complain!

Rick's right, major amount of work in a very short amount of time.
Looks awesome.

Thanks

Nico, amazing work! I'm curious to see more about the operation of your slick lift. Also, what did you use to restore the B pillars and tail lights on that Golf? Amazing.

I'll be keeping a close eye on this. I do a little bit of detailing on the side as well so it'll be nice to see how this comes along. Maybe I'll borrow some of your ideas haha.

Looks like you're quite the handyman... great job on the drywall and electrical! I wish I was better at wiring but it scares the **** out of me!

Thanks Rick.. yes I will check it out. I'm currently getting my garage layout in Visio. One of the reasons I think I'm so attracted to Nico's, your, and others garages here..they remind me of a buddy of mine's shop (he did car detailing/car restoration).. I LOVE a clean garage/car. Nico, just checked out your website and liked your fb page.. GREAT work there!

Hey Nico so is this garage now done and fully functional?

You started off like a wild fire, but now it seems to be smoldering, which i assume means your almost done and onto focusing on the business!
